In 2010, the Chinese workplace romantic comedy Go Lala Go turned into a resounding box office success. Five years later, the "Du Lala" series returns to cinemas with a sequel featuring the fresh new cast of Taiwan stars Ariel Lin, Vic Chou and Wilson Chen.

Du Lala (Ariel Lin) has been with her boyfriend Wang Wei (Vic Chou) for years, but he still hasn't popped the question and their paths seem to be diverging. Meanwhile, at work she's faced with a demanding boss who minces no words and an ambitious underling (After School's Nana) who has her eyes on Lala's position and boyfriend. At this insecure time in her life, Lala suddenly encounters a great opportunity. When her boss is hospitalized, she has no choice but to pose as the company VP and deliver an important presentation in her stead. The presentation goes over well, but now she has to keep up the act and take over the project. What's more, she's attracted the interests of new business partner Chen Fung (Wilson Chen).

Directed by Andrew Chien (Dive In short film series), Go Lala Go 2 is the latest adaptation of Li Ke's best-selling A Story of Lala's Promotion novel series about a woman's growth, struggles and career advancement while working in a competitive, male-dominated corporate environment. Besides the films, the novels have also inspired two TV series and a stage play.

導演安竹間為了展現片中的浪漫氛圍，特別選擇了泰國蘇美島作為拍攝場景，不但出動上百名工作人員，長達10天的拍攝期更花費超過千萬新台幣。

更請來了亞洲巨星林宥嘉、田馥甄攜手獻唱電影主題曲；〈姐〉希望能透過田馥甄代表的新時代女性，唱出獨立自主的精神，以及無可替代的知性態度；林宥嘉一手包辦詞曲的〈如果我變成一首歌〉，為他在退伍前夕的創作，訴說一份感情消逝後的思念，期待能轉化為一首歌般的無形，靜靜守候在對方身邊的渴求。
