Godzilla, nope, Gojira, is here !!!

This is a great box set that includes the first 4 movies in the Toho Gojira franchise.
The picture quality is unbelievable for such old movies (especially if you're still used to the VHS like I was). There are no subtitles of any kind but the joy of seeing these movies in their original versions, unedited and without any stupid and useless added American content far outweighs the lack of them. And if you still want to know what the added American content was, the bonus disc is there for that, great idea. The box set itself is beautiful, very simple but elegant with its predominance of shiny black color and the front hand drawn picture is superb and very nostalgic ^^ Be sure to check out the other sets as well (II, III, IV & V). I just wish Toho would release a 6th box set with the six Millennium Movies as they are only available separately at the time I'm writing this review. |
