Released in Korea in 1978, Gold Wing 123, or Golden Wing 123, is an animated sci-fi superhero feature from Kim Cheong Ki, who also directed the classic Robot Taekwon V (1976) and created the popular Wuroemae series. Like Robot Taekwon V, Gold Wing 123 draws from Japanese genre themes and character designs to create Korea's very own world-saving transforming superhero, a young man who attains super powers and is tasked to defend earth from the evil plans of a galactic conqueror. Known in the West as Goldwing, Gold Wing 123 is one of Korea's earliest and most classic animated films, and now it's the first Korean anime to come to Blu-ray. This Limited Edition comes with a unique serial number and a 16-page booklet.

Note: The Gold Wing 123 was mastered in HD for Blu-ray release, but some imperfections may still exist in the film due to the state of the original archive print.

*줄거리

어느날 외계에서 신비한 힘이 주어진다면
현-부모를 잃고 아버지의 친구 선우박사의 보호하에 자라는 소년이지만 불우한 환경은 그를 자신감 없고 겁이 많은 소년의 모습으로 성장하게 되었다. 어느날 외계인 힌샘에게 초능력을 부여받아 황금날개 1호로 변신하게 된 현은 현실에서는 모습을 감춘채 정의를 위해 우주범죄자 칼손을 맞서 싸운다.
미리내-힌샘의 딸이지만 진실을 모른채 우주범죄자 칼손을 아버지로 알고 지내며 칼손의 지구정복을 위해 앞서서 행동한다. 하지만 칼손의 행동에 의심을 품은채 우람의 도움으로 진실을 깨닫게 된다.
선우박사-현의 아버지인 오박사의 친구로 산업용로보트인 청동거인을 개발한다. 하지만 지구의 위기에 맞서 청동거인을 황금날개 3호로 지정하고 지구수호를 위한 방위사령관 역할을 한다.
