In 2005, omnibus film All About My Dog offered eight short films about the bond between human and dogs. Six years later, producer Ichise Takashige brings together six new directors for Happy Together - All About My Dog, a new set of shorts about man's best friend. In addition to veteran director Nagasaki Junichi (Heart, Beating in the Dark, the directors list also includes some of the best directors in the advertising and music video fields. Acting with the adorable dogs is a star-studded cast that includes Omori Nao (Golden Slumbers), Matsushima Nanako (Ring), Akira Nakao (Godzilla: Final Wars), Kitano Kie (Bandage), and popular child star Ashida Mana.

While the stories all feature adorable dogs, they mainly cover two genres. Representing the tearjerkers are Nagasaki Junichi's Inu no Namae - about a man (Omori Nao) fighting a difficult illness with the support of his wife (Matsushima Nanako) and their dog Lucky - and Eto Hisashi's Vanilla no Kakera, about a girl (Kitano Kie) mourning the death of her beloved dog. Meanwhile, representing the comedies are Kawanishi Jun's Dog Nap - about police officers who get called in for the abduction of a dog - Mizuochi Yutaka's Akira - starring actor Nakao Akira as himself - Nakanishi Naoto's wacky mockumentary Aikenka wo Tazunete, and Ishii Soichi's Okansan wa Shinpaisho - about a woman's anxiety after leaving her dog home alone for the first time.
