Nominated in six categories at the 55th Golden Bell Awards, the 2019 PTS drama Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner explores the challenges that ex-convicts face after returning to society. Wang Xiang (Kaiser Chuang), who was convicted of killing a high school girl, is finally released on parole after over ten years in prison. His return upturns the lives of his mother (Ying Tsai Ling) and younger brother Wang Jie (Yen Tsao), who had kept his brother's existence a secret from his girlfriend. Xiang just wants to quietly start anew, but a traffic accident causes his past to be exposed. However, it also leads to him reuniting with his college girlfriend (Kimi Hsia).When a girl goes missing, Xiang suddenly becomes the target of suspicion. The police, the missing girl's mother and the family of the past victim all believe that he is the culprit. Is it possible for a former criminal like him to be forgiven and regain an ordinary life?

涉嫌殺害高中女生李曉君(蔡瑞雪 飾)被判刑的王翔(莊凱勛 飾)，過了十多年的牢獄生活後終於假釋出獄。王翔回家，對媽媽(應采靈飾)和弟弟王杰(曹晏豪 飾)原本平靜的生活帶來不少衝擊。
