2014 Taiwanese idol drama High Heels And A Scalpel tells the story of Wu Ya Fan (Megan Lai, The Invaluable Treasure 1949), a cold, perfectionist doctor who loses her job due to a misunderstanding. She returns to the small town where she grew up to work at her grandfather's clinic. At first, she is a complete fish out of water, and having her childhood friend Ke Yi Cheng (Tender Huang, Story of Time) there causing trouble doesn't help. Little by little, though, she warms up to the town and its inhabitants, and she starts to re-evaluate her life. She goes on a journey of self-exploration and begins to accept all of herself, including the likelihood that she might get Parkinson's Disease.
