Directed by Takeuchi Hideki (Fly Me to the Saitama), If Tokugawa Ieyasu Became the Prime Minister turns "what if" into the ultimate cabinet of historical leaders! Based on the novel Moshimo Tokugawa Ieyasu ga Sori Daijin ni Nattara by Manabe Akihito, the film is set in 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic is spreading rapidly. When the Prime Minister suddenly passes away, the government unleashes a grand plan to resurrect great historical figures using AI and holograms, and create the strongest administration ever.
The all-star cabinet of historical characters is portrayed by an all-star lineup of actors. The position of Prime Minister is entrusted to the one and only Tokugawa Ieyasu (Nomura Mansai). His cabinet includes Sakamoto Ryoma (Akaso Eiji), Oda Nobunaga (Gackt), Hideyoshi Toyotomi (Takenaka Naoto), Murasaki Shikibu (Mizuki Arisa) and more. This unbelievable dream team gets so much work done, pushing through policies with great efficiency and charisma. Rookie reporter Nishimura Risa (Hamabe Minami) approaches the government spokesman in hopes of getting an exclusive, and she becomes aware of shadowy truth behind the cabinet.
This edition comes with a visual card and bonus DVD of special features including making-of footage, Tokugawa Ieyasu's dance full version footage, special program, theme song MV and event footage.
