YesAsia Editorial Description
The hyper thrilling police-triad undercover story co-directed by Andrew Lau (Young and Dangerous, Storm Riders) and Alan Mak (A War Named Desire) uses the duel betweem opposing moles in the police and the triad as theme, but does not draw on the traditional formula of flying stunts and big budget explosions; yet it succeeds in keeping eyes pinned to the screen from start to finish, even after continuous viewings!
Leading actors Andy Lau and Tony Leung Chiu Wai can be seen in their probably strongest performances to date - one working as a mole in the police department, while the other works as an undercover cop surrounded by deadly triad crooks. They are skillfully backed up by veteran Hong Kong film stars Eric Tsang and Anthony Wong who portray a cunning triad boss and a cool CIB police sergeant, respectively. Also featuring Asian superstars Sammi Cheng, Kelly Chen, Elva Hsiao, Edison Chen, and Shawn Yue in supporting roles Infernal Affairs offers viewers nail-biting suspense from the first minute to the last!

Professional Review of "Infernal Affairs (2002) (Blu-ray) (Hong Kong Version)"
This professional review refers to Infernal Affairs (3 VCDs Deluxe Edition) (Hong Kong Version)
Infernal Affairs was the box office champion in Hong Kong in 2002. Although it was unable to break the record of 2001's Shaolin Soccer, the response was still unanimously positive. Both the audience and the movie critics enjoyed this movie a lot. If you only watch one Hong Kong movie a year, Infernal Affairs is definitely the first choice! |

Disappointed Blueray Transfer
The story line is very good. Since everybody know the story I"m not gonna talk about. I'm just want to add my two cents on the Blueray Trilogy. I've recently purchased the Trilogy set and start watching it. I found out all three movies was blur on some scenes. It's not actually HD quality. It's more like DVD quality.
The sound quality is much better with 5.1 on the first movie and 6.1 on other two movies. So for people who want HD quality on the trilogy set will be very disappointed. |

The plot was great & it was easily understandable whether it was by predictablility or the effective story telling. Unfortunately you are left with knowing the audience had only a mere glimpse of the possible depth of the character themselves. Regardless, kudos to the powerhouse actors who portrayed & expressed their complexity effectively. This version allows you to view the alternate ending in the special features. There is the subtle & blatant difference that also deserves a head-nod. |

Tony Leung, Andy Lau and Eric Tsang all are at the top of their game in this intricate, edge-of-your-seat tale of undercover cops and robbers. My only gripe is that the characters played by Kelly Chen, Sammi Cheung, and Elva Hsiao are given too little screen time; their characters are too thin to have any real life. They exist just to develop some of the backstory for the lead characters. However, this is a minor quibble. "Infernal Affairs" is a state-of-the-art thriller and I highly recommend it. |

I enjoyed the whole film. Action filled. Andy Lau is really great. You should watch this. Even the younger Andy and younger Tony played their roles pretty well. You should watch out for the prequel. They are real great. |

This movie has to be in my top 5 ever. This will have you sitting at the edge of your seat. The end has a real twist. The plot is very well thought out, and easy to follow, just pay attention.
Buy this movie, you will love it. |
