YesAsia Editorial Description

Rookie boy band Infinite shows their limitless potential with the second mini-album Evolution. From the composers of Kara's Mister and Jumping, their title song BTD (Before the Dawn) mixes acoustic and electronic instruments for a powerful new sound. The song's music video is directed by top director Hwang Soo Ah, whose works include Brown Eyed Girls' Abracadabra, Ga In's "Irreversible", and IU's "Good Day". The album also has the ballad "Voice of My Heart", which features rap penned by member Hoya.

BTD(BEFORE THE DAWN)

Great! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Okay, so I don't recall when I got this item, but I do know it took a good two-three weeks to get - but then again, I expected as much, living in the UK. Our post system... is much to be desired. >.<

Regardless, when it arrived I screamed with joy. However, the album cover has gold on it. Mine doesn't, and I was unsure if that was how it was printed or...? Anyone else?

The intro was, well, an intro. I wasn't expecting anything utterly amazing, but it was nice.

BTD (Before the Dawn), the first (technically second, but meh) track, is just so good. It's incredibly catchy, the dance is amazing if you've watched the MV, and overall a really great song I NEVER get tired of listening to. Like, ever. Its lyrics are surprisingly dark and not at all what I was expecting, which makes Infinite all the more unique and dare I say, original? While I feel others sing a lot about love in happy ways, Infinite sings about it more darkly, and possessive? It's just great <3

Can U Smile is another song I adored. I prefer this version to their remake in Inspirit, but it fits the album, so why not? I don't know how to describe this. The melody feels light-hearted, but I bet the lyrics aren't xD Really a cute song, and I loved Woohyun and Sunggyu's vocals in this, especially during the chorus.

Hysterie is a really catchy, mellow beat type of song and something I find myself snapping my fingers to constantly. Very happy with this song <3

Eh, Voice Of My Heart is fine. I said earlier that it was slow, but after re-listening, it does have a fast-ish beat to it, but it's that type of song for me, which I wouldn't mind skipping if I had it on a shuffled playlist. I can't really say it's bad, because it isn't. I'm just not as fond of it as I am others.

Finally, I Don't Know, is another surprisingly 'upbeat'-ish song. I was expecting a ballad from its title, but it was great! Very... dramatic? That's how I'd describe it as a genre. I can't describe it, you'd have to listen to it for yourself to describe it, urgh >//<

Overall, a good buy! I recommend it, definitely. You don't get photocards, but the photobook stuck on the inside of the front cover was very nice to look at ;)

Love it :3 Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Since I discovered this group, I can't stop listening to their songs.
BTD is one of the songs, that I never get tired of it. I like the dark design of the album.
It contains also a photobook, which is stuck on the CD case. There's also an explanation of the word infinite in english.
I love this album! ^__^ ♥~

INFINITE DAEBAK! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I bought this along with First Invasion as soon as I became a fan.
This is my favourite album so far. Al the songs are so beautiful and well done

01. Intro (Evolution)
is a very simple intro but still kinda catchy, it gives you a glimpse of what youll hear later on in the album ;)

02. BTD (BEFORE THE DAWN) _
We all know how epic this song is is just AMAZING. It really gets stuck in your head

Though I like inspirit's version of this song better, this is still refresing to listen to

04. Hysterie
One of my fave songs in the album. It has that "Michael Jackson feeling" in it. Also, the rap is just plain HOT

(Voice of my heart)
My favourite song. The lyrics, the emotions they portray, the vocal talent... everything is amazing

This song has a rock feeling and it's super catchy. You'll love it as soon as you listen to it!

Infinite just made me love them with this album, I proudly became an inspirit while listening to this *claps claps* You won't regreat buying. The quality of the album is just amazing.
About the package, it's not hard like "First Invasion" but the material is still very nice ;) And the best part... HELL YEAH THE PHOTOBOOK is gorgeus *__* the guys look amazing and super handsome. Each of them have 3 pages of pictures and of course group photos with their amazing hairstyles and all.

Just saying, you're crazy if you don't buy this.

Brilliant follow-up to 'First Invasion' Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The boys debuted with a very strong mini-album showcasing a solid set of songs with impressive vocals. They returned with a mini-album not dissimilar to the first, in terms of quality and genre. Visually the band has taken a bit of a U-turn from boy-next-door to a very striking and dark image and it works really well for them.
With the maturer visuals comes a maturer set of songs touching on themes of heartbreak, obsession and unrequited love. I can't pick out one or two favourites as all of the songs are great, without exception. I'm excited for this group and really hope that they achieve more success and popularity than they are currently getting, they seem to have a lot of potential.
