Written and directed by Chris Hong, the legal drama Invisible Justice is inspired by the true story of a blind lawyer who represented workers in Taiwan's largest occupational injury compensation claim lawsuit. The protagonist of the film is modeled after Taiwan's first visually impaired lawyer, Lee Bing Hung, who went up against American electronics manufacturer RCA for industrial pollution that caused grievous harm to workers.
Visually impaired lawyer Lee Cheng Hong (Chang Che Hao) wants to participate in litigation, but due to his disability, he always gets relegated to handling documents. He continues to persists until one day he finally gets asked to take on his first case. However, the opposing defense attorney of the civil claims lawsuit is the boss of the law firm that Lee works at. Furthermore, this is no simple case but a transnational class-action lawsuit with over 5000 plaintiffs.
