Director Hsieh Nien Chu is a seasoned name in the Taiwan entertainment industry as the writer/director of the famous Everybody Speaks Nonsense and Celebrity Imitated Show comedy variety programs and the co-founder of the All U People Theatre troupe. He brings his hit stage play It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Show to the silver screen with funnymen OD Ou and Na Dow as well as Yen Cheng Kuo and singers Lin Min Chen and Genie Chou.

Luo (Na Dow), the greedy general manager of Crazy TV Station, conspires with gangster tycoon David (Yen Cheng Kuo) to drive down the station's ratings and value so that David can buy operating rights at a super low price. Luo promotes producer Xiao Ye (OD Ou), whose programs always fail, to the position of chief program director with the expectation that he will keep failing some more. Xiao Ye, however, is super passionate about his work; as are his partner Ah Bi (Liu Kuan Ting) and Diva (Lin Min Chen), who moved from Malaysia to Taiwan to pursue her star dreams. Despite having no budget or resources, the three manage to come up with a wild program that turns into a hot topic and ratings hit. But Luo is not about to let them sidetrack his get-rich scheme!

向來以利為出發的「瘋狂電視台」總經理羅總(納豆 飾)，與流氓土豪David哥(顏正國 飾)暗中勾結，無所不用其極地搞垮電視台收視率後，再以賤價將電視台的經營權賣給David哥獲利。 電視節目做一檔、倒一檔的製作人小葉(歐漢聲 飾)在不知情的狀況下被羅總升任「瘋狂電視台」節目總監。對於做節目有無限熱情的小葉，和熱愛表演的好搭檔阿比(劉冠廷飾)、以及來自馬來西亞有追星夢的少女Diva (林明禎 飾)，三人在完全沒有資金、沒有人力的情況下卻製作出各種瘋狂的節目，意外引起了收視熱潮與討論，眼看計劃即將失敗的羅總，這時竟下令將三人裁員！？失去人生舞台的三人，此時看到瘋狂電視台正在徵選「超級製作人」，以為有了再度重返電視台的機會，沒想到卻將面臨一場出乎意外的危機風暴…。
