Andy Lau In Concert ''Proud of You'' Karaoke (DVD)
September 11, 2006 THE BENCHMARK CONCERTThis is the first Andy Lau concert I saw (on DVD) and in my opinion it is the best of all the videoed concerts.
The concert contains a wonderful combination of songs (old hits as well as more recent material) performed in both Mandarin and Cantonese and also some good dance sequences.
There is also a bonus VCD showing all the hard work which went into making this tremendously emotional concert.
In short, if you only watch one Andy Lau concert on DVD, make sure that it's this one!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

September 9, 2006 A VERY GOOD CANTONESE CDWhilst the songs on this CD are very good and that is the most important thing, it is what we expect from a singer of such qulity after all it is a shame that the same could not be said for the art work on the cover and in the acompanying photo album.
The art work is, to put it politely, very surreal and one gets the impression that the person who designed it spent a great deal of time in the art gallery looking at Salvador Dali paintings before starting work, which is a shame as it is extremely off putting.Did you find this review helpful? I found the story to be disjointed and incomprehensible and the quality of the animation to be poor.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
July 30, 2006 A STAR IN THE MAKING
Andy Lau shows great promise in his first staring role on television as Fong Yat Wei, a young policeman sent on a dangerous undercover assignment in a triad owned nightclub. We are even treated (albeit briefly) to a brief taste of his wonderful singing voice :)
Watch out for an early appearance by Tony Leung Chiu Wai as Ah Wei's girlfriend's younger brother.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

July 2, 2006 RETURN OF THE HK KEYSTONE COPSMiriam Yeung and Daniel Wu reprise their roles as Keun and Man in another hilarous romp.
Keun and Man have been living together for some time. Keun also tried out (unsuccessfully) for for various other units. However she is soon sent back to her old team where they and Man become involved in protecting visiting royalty.
Unfortunately, with one thing and another this is not as simple as it seems.
Also as Kuen's irreverant attitude begins to annoy Man who has a surprise for her, will their relationship survive? Watch and seeDid you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

July 2, 2006 HK KEYSTONE COPSIn this HK keystone cops style romp Miriam Yeung as spectacularly incompetent police officer Kuen (although she is nowhere near as incompetent as her colleagues) and Daniel Wu as the triad (or is he?) Man who she goes under cover to investigate make a wonderful comic combination.
Due to a series of misadventures and misunderstandings what is meant to be a one night assignment for Kuen posing as a waitress to record a conversation between Man and an associate eventually becomes a full blown relationship when she and Man fall in love.
Will their relationship flourish? Will Kuen be allowed to remain in the HK Police Force? Watch and see.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Sound + Vision Deluxe - Andy Lau
April 30, 2006 THE BEST OF THE BESTWhat can I say? If you only buy one Andy Lau compilation make sure it's this double CD with its great selection of songs in both Cantonese and Mandarin. The fact that there is also an accompanying DVD containing some wonderful music videos also makes it great value. Go on, treat yourself! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
April 17, 2006 AN EXCELLENT EARLY ALBUM
This CD originally released in 1990 contains a good selection of ballads, blues and more lively numbers sung in Mandarin.
Whilst I don't completely understand the lyrics to any of the songs I really enjoy listening to them.
Of particular note are the first (my favourite) and third (great fun) songs.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

October 31, 2004 AN EXCELLENT COMEDY THRILLERThis film goes from being screamingly funny one minute to unpleantly violent the next with alarming regularity.
Jung Jun Ho is excellent as the baby faced gangster ordered to graduate from high school. There are also some great supporting performances particularly from the lad with a yen for flashing from the roof top opposite the school - he could give Jacky Cheung a run for his money with his crazy performance!Did you find this review helpful? Tin Long Kip (End)
February 7, 2004 AN UNUSUAL FANTASTYNot your typical fantasy swordplay drama this. The charcters not only weald the usual variety of bladed weapons associated with the genre, they use crossbows which fire laser bolts too. The land in which the action takes place is not specified, neither is the time. The characters all wear different types of costumes ranging from those of medieval European to 1980s disco queens.
