Since leaping to fame in 2010 through Superstar K2, John Park has taken his time with his music. Over a year after the release of his debut mini-album, he's now ready to present his first full album Inner Child. John Park served as a producer for the album and wrote five of the songs. Duble Sidekick, Dynamic Duo's Choiza, Lee Juck, Lee Sang Soo and Chung Won Young also participated on the album.

1년여의 음악적 집념이 서린 존박 1집 앨범은 ‘INNER CHILD'처럼 뮤지션 존박에게 내재된 아이같은 서정이 잔존하고 있다. 2012년 2월 미니앨범 ‘Knock’이후 무려 16개월 만에 선보이는 존박 1집 앨범은 존박이 독보적인 뮤지션으로서의 결을 명확하게 새기는 이정표로 남기에 충분하다. 존박의 다양하고 색채있는 음악 스펙트럼은 이번 앨범에서도 역력히 묻어난다. 총 11곡이 수록된 1집 앨범을 자신이 직접 프로듀싱한 존박은 수록곡 5곡을 작사 작곡해 싱어송라이터로서의 입지를 굳혔다는 평가다. 존박 1집 앨범에는 같은 소속사 뮤지션인 이적, 이상순이 앨범 작업에 참여했으며, 뮤지션 정원영, 이승열, 다이다믹듀오 최자, 레이강, 이단옆차기 등의 곡들이 포진돼 음악적 장르의 보폭을 더욱 넓혔다. 존박은 "1년여 동안 심혈을 기울인 앨범으로 존경하는 뮤지션들과 함께 작업할 수 있어서 행복했다."면서 "내 안에 어린아이 같은 마음으로 돌아가 만든 음악"이라고 1집 앨범 발표 소감을 밝혔다. 어려서부터 해보고 싶었던 음악, 음악으로 채울 수 있는 욕심을 마음껏 쏟아냈다. 창작의 맛을 고스란히 느낀 이번 앨범을 통해 존박은 모든 트랙을 자신의 곡으로 창작할 수 있는 기회의 발판을 마련하게 됐다고 밝혔다. 아이처럼 꿈틀거리는 음악적 열정이 온전히 베인 이번 앨범을 통해 존박은 뮤지션으로서의 길을 차분하게 내딛게 되었다는 평가를 받으며 음악적 입지를 충실하게 다지게 됐다.
