Every year, NTV produces a special single-episode television drama about everyday people who face difficult situations in life for their annual charity telethon 24 Hour Television. The 2015 drama special Kaasan, Ore wa Daijobu stars Hey! Say! JUMP member Yamada Ryosuke as a high school student and soccer club vice-captain who strives to continue in the sport after being diagnosed with an acute brain tumor. The drama also co-stars Yasuda Narumi as his mother, Akai Hidekazu as his father, NEWS member Masuda Takahisa as his older brother, and V6's Inohara Yoshiko as the director of the soccer club.

病に侵されながらも、ピッチに戻れることを信じ、壮絶な闘病生活を送った高校生とその家族の物語。 ――佐々木家の二男・諒平 (山田涼介)はサッカー部の副キャプテンとして活躍する高校生。母の萌子 (安田成美)は難病で入院生活を送る三男の世話にかかりきり。ある日、諒平は激しい頭痛に襲われ病院に運ばれる。検査の結果は急性脳腫瘍。父・弘 (赤井英和)と長男・哲平 (増田貴久)は諒平の余命が短いことを知り絶望する。一方、サッカー部の永田監督 (井ノ原快彦)は諒平のために県大会予選突破を目指すが、主力を失った有竹 (間宮祥太朗)ら部員たちは戦意喪失。しかし「勝つ、病気に勝つ」と強い意志を見せる諒平を見て家族や仲間たちは前を向く。諒平は母とふたり再手術をしてくれる病院に移ることに。皮肉にも、諒平の発病は母子が初めて向き合う時間を与えたのだ。辛い闘病にも関わらず弱音を吐かない息子。萌子はしかし、亡くなってようやく諒平の想いに気づくのだった・・・。 ※この商品の売り上げの一部がチャリティ－となります。
