The "kidnapper" is the one being held hostage in the Hong Kong comedy Kidnap Ding Ding Don! Wilson Chin, the director of Black Comedy, One Night in Taipei and the Lan Kwai Fong series, offers a less bawdy but no less funny romcom misadventure starring Ivana Wong (Golden Chickensss) and Alex Fong Lik Sun (Anniversary) as a spoiled rich girl and her gullible accomplice who stage a fake kidnapping together.

Don (Alex Fong) wakes up in a village house with no memories and a hostage, Ding Ding (Ivana Wong), next to him. He has no idea what's going on, but she informs him that he kidnapped her. Still confused as ever, Don decides to release Ding Ding but she refuses to leave! Instead, the rich and bratty Ding Ding forces Don to continue the kidnapping charade in hopes of earning her estranged father's attention.

Don (starring Alex Fong) wakes up in an abundant house and realize can’s remember anything. He then finds a kidnapped girl Dingding (Starring Ivana Wong) next to him. In reverse, Dingding threatens and lures him for kidnapping in order to catch her father’s attention. Both fake hostage and kidnapper stays together and triggers a series of joke. It is a delightful scene, but not for long, Ding Ding is actually kidnapped by the gangs at midnight. Don goes mad and desperate searching for her in the village but to no avail. Accidentally, he recovers his memory and the real story is being revealed…
