YesAsia Editorial Description
With only 23 days left to live, L (Matsuyama Kenichi) burns the remaining Death Note and proceeds to work day and night solving as many cases and consuming as many sweets as possible. One final case is sent his way in the form of a Thai boy who alone survived a deadly virus outbreak in his village. L gets another guest when 12-year-old girl Maki (Fukuda Mayuko, Little DJ) shows up on the doorstep. Both children are connected to an Ebola-influenza virus developed by Maki's father which has been stolen by terrorists. With the terrorists hunting for Maki and threatening to unleash the virus, L is forced to leave his chair and venture out into the real world, both children in stow. The days tick down as L rushes to develop an antidote and catch the terrorists before time runs out.

I bought this since I love Death Note, L and this movie, L change the WorLd, in particular. There are so many good Japanese movies it almost seems silly to rank them but...sumimasen...L is the best, L is #1, always. Beautiful story with terrific actors and actresses casted for the various parts, a superb extra material collection and three postcards with pictures of L and the other characters. One white one featuring the heroes, one black one featuring the baddies and one that`s just like the movie poster: L in the middle surrounded by the cast and Ruyk in the background to the right. They`re similar to the ones that came with the Taiwan version box set but bigger and shinier. The extra material discs are pretty much the same too, except for a few of the scenes being a bit extended ( I think.). Be aware, there are NO SUBTITLES.
The box is so precious. I have it on display on my shelf. It`s kinda thin, I thought it would be thinker and bigger since the order information said three shipment units, but it`s not big at all. On the outside, it`s covered with glitter of a sort that makes it seem like stars are dancing all over the box. It`s beautiful. I don`t know what`s meant by "goods" because there`s nothing in the box besides the post cards (and the DVDs of course.) But it`s a worthy buy and an excellent item to add to your DEATH NOTE collection. |

This customer review refers to L Change The World (DVD) (3-Disc Deluxe Edition) (Taiwan Version)
While Death Note the Manga was, at most times, devoid of compassion and hope for the future, this little, big movie tells the story of what a difference people can make in this world if they set their mind to it. Of course, we`re not talking of just any mind, but of the mastermind of the great L, which makes for an engaging experience. I have watched this movie four times and I am still at the edge of my seat hoping L will save the day! And I laugh and cry, feeling I am a better person for it, more appreciative of our power to do good even when it seems out fate is sealed. It`s not. Ruyuk eat your heart out! L rules!!! |

Impressive~
In the second Death Note movie, L confessed that he had 23 more days left to live. This movie explains how L solves his last case in his last days, and how he doesn't die quite as quietly as he would have hoped.
This is an amazing movie, and I've made all of my friends to watch it. ^^ The movie doesn't continue the plot of the Death Note movies, and doesn't fit in with the anime or manga. But, even if you haven't watched the first two movies or the anime, it explains everything you need to know. The English subtitles are really good, and aren't just a direct translation. The subs are easy to understand, even for people who don't regularly watch Japanese movies. This is a definite must-have for L and DN fans!!! |
