Following 2014's Z Storm and 2016's S Storm, the Hong Kong anti-corruption crime thriller series unleashes L Storm! Director David Lam reteams with Louis Koo and Julian Cheung for the third installment. The two are joined by television star Kevin Cheng (Startling By Each Step) as well as Patrick Tam, Stephy Tang, Adam Pak, Michael Tse, Louis Cheung, Liu Kai Chi, Babyjohn Choi, Jessica Hsuan and mainland Chinese actors Ding Haifeng, Feng Lei and Sienna Li, all of whom appeared in the blockbuster 2017 anti-corruption TV series In the Name of People.

Louis Koo and Julian Cheung reprise as officer Luk of the corruption watchdog agency ICAC and detective Lau of the Joint Financial Intelligence Unit (JFIU). The two are investigating graft and money laundering cases, respectively, but not making any headway. Meanwhile, Ching (Kevin Cheng) of ICAC's "L Group," the internal investigation and monitoring unit, receives a report that accuses Luk of accepting bribes. Lau discovers that Luk's case is related to the laundering case that he has been investigating.
