Supervised by director Miike Takashi and produced for mobile TV platform Bee TV, Lesson of the Evil – Prologue takes viewers to three months before the events of the film, showing Ito Hideaki's Hasumi returning to Japan after living in the United States. Hasumi becomes a well-liked member of the faculty in an elite school, and the newly arriving school counselor even begins to fall for him. However, one fellow teacher suspects that something more sinister lies beneath Hasumi's exterior.
