　　《梨花淚》講述如萍的親生父親莫桂鳴原是富春班的當家小生，在秋蟬的蠱惑下，拋下其妻素梅，和秋蟬遠走他鄉。素梅傷心欲絕，但為了生計雖已懷孕仍勇敢地站在舞台上錶演，最後在舞台上產下如萍而離開人世；富春班班主蕭桂倫深愛素梅，他成全素梅和桂鳴將自己的感情深深埋藏起來，在素梅走後本欲肩負起扶養素梅之女—如萍的責任，但素梅之兄葉正祥強加阻止並將如萍帶回葉家扶養，視如萍如己出，如萍在幸福中成長，全然不知自己真正身世。
