Taking inspiration from the famed Longmen Sword bodyguard service, Longmen Express is a 40-episode costume comedy drama featuring Anita Yuen, Guo Jingfei, Li Qian and Zhang Ruihan. Their attempt to save the declining business which they walked away from is met with some harmless misfortunes and an abundance of hilariously funny troubles. The latest drama from My Own Swordsman writer Ning Caishen, Longmen Express is filled with irreverent humor, modern references and guest appearances from the likes of Huang Xiaoming, Lu Yi, Yao Chen, Tong Dawei, Ma Tianyu, Chen Xiao, Du Chun, Li Chen, Yuan Hong, Ma Su, Huo Siyan and other celebrities.

From 17 branches to now only one branch left standing, Longmen Express has gone downhill and is on the verge of closing down. Banker Lu Sanjin (Guo Jingfei) comes to its rescue and becomes the new boss of the business. While Lu attempts to revive the cooperative, he realizes that everyone in Longmen Express has already lost faith and momentum – except Sheng Chiu (Anita Yuen), one of the former owners of Longmen. Vowing to save her family business, Sheng teams up with Lu, a veteran businessman. However, their contradicting ideas for the business soon turn into verbal and physical conflicts. As time passes by they find out that they may have outgrown their companionship.

　　龍門鏢局曾經是中原最大的連鎖鏢局，最多的時候，有十七家分店。後來，隨著時代的變遷，日益衰敗，只剩最後一家。龍門鏢局的少鏢頭接到一趟大鏢，利潤豐厚，卻在中途遭到山賊的襲擊，全軍覆沒。隨後，鏢局遭到巨額索賠，面臨破產。京城隆昌票號的少東家陸三金挺身而出，為鏢局償還了巨額債務，並以極低的價格收購了鏢局，成為了新東家。然而，收購之後才發現，這是一個早已失去了激情與夢想的企業，大家都無心戀戰，人浮於事，混一天算一天，破產之前，人心就已經死了。
