Hong Kong cult filmmaker Scud (Amphetamine) pushes boundaries further with his fourth film, Love Actually... Sucks! Undaunted by censorship restrictions, the controversial writer-director presents his disillusioned view of romance via an uncompromising portrayal of desire and obsession involving tons of explicit sex scenes, some of which rumored to be unsimulated. The film, boasting the participation of Herman Yau on cinematography, William Chang on editing, and Yu Yat Yiu on film score, is an official selection of the 47th Chicago International Film Festival. Featuring elements of homosexuality, incest, prostitution and murder, the multi-threaded drama follows 15 characters in six interconnected tales of unconventional relationships inspired by true events.
Not every love story has a happy ending. A wedding ceremony goes awry when a shocking video exposes the illicit affair between the hunky groom and his handsome best man. The guests have their own unusual stories, too. A dance teacher finds $20 million in his bank account from a lonely widow that admires him. A girl loves his brother so much that she has sex with him and plans to run away from home together. A middle-aged fitness coach asks, with an ulterior motive, a beautiful boy to pose nude for him to paint. A policewoman is in love with a girl who enjoys role-playing perhaps a little too much. A rock climber seeks bloody revenge when his ex-girlfriend accuses him of raping her.
