Based on the novel Yun Zhong Ge by Startling By Each Step writer Tong Hua, the Yu Zheng-produced historical romance series Love Yunge From the Desert is a sprawling tale of love and upheaval set in the Western Han Dynasty. Appearing in her first TV drama, Angelababy (Rise of the Legend) stars as the heroine Yun Ge alongside Du Chun (Palace II), Lu Yi (The Palace: The Lost Daughter) and Chen Xiao (The Romance of the Condor Heroes). In Tong Hua's novel series, Yun Zhong Ge is the sequel to Da Mo Yao, which has been adapted into the drama Sound of the Desert.

When she was a young girl, Yun Ge (Angelababy) saved a boy named Ling in the desert and gave him her heart. The two promise to meet again in Chang'an, the capital of Han, when they grow up. Ten years later, Yun Ge arrives in Chang'an and mistakes Liu Bing Yi (Chen Xiao), the future Emperor Xuan, for Ling. Heartbroken that he doesn't remember her and their vow, Yun Ge wants to leave Chang'an but then she meets and falls in love with Meng Jue (Du Chun). That love, too, leaves her confused and heartbroken. When she decides to return to the desert, she finally meets the real Ling (Lu Yi), Emperor Zhao, and realizes her mistake. Loved by both Ling and Meng Jue, Yun Ge struggles to come to terms with her heart while getting pulled deeper and deeper into the dangerous power struggles of the palace.

Product Information

Love Yunge from the Desert, a sequel to Sound of Desert, is the highly anticipated drama makes Angelababy’s TV debut, co-starring Du Chun & Lu Yi. Yung Ge, a girl from the desert, first fell in love with Prince Liu Fu Ling, whom she had rescued from the burning sands as a child. Yun Ge and Fu Ling promised to meet again in Chang’an after ten years. However, she mistook Liu Bing Yi for Liu fu Ling. Devastated at seeing a beautiful woman by Bing Yi’s side, Yun Ge hide her love.

In the wake of her heartbreak, Yun Ge fell for the faithful Meng Jue, who was always by her side. However, their relationship ended when Yun Ge misunderstood that he was trying to take advantage of her. She then reunited with the real Liu Fu Ling, who still held true to their childhood promise.
