Queens are trumps - Kirihuda wa Queen - (First Press Limited Edition)(Japan Version)(1)Our Price: US$55.25December 9, 2012 AMAZING!!!
This is the first album of SCANDAL that I've purchased. I thought about getting their last cd but wasn't convinced that SCANDAL were the real deal. So when I saw this Queens are Trumps book cd I thought it was time to check them out. Now either their previous work wasn't as good as this or I've seriously been missing out, Queens are Trumps is unbelievably good. There isn't a single song I want to skip. The album is extremely well produced and sounds as polished as you like. The vocals from all the girls are sweet and crisp, there are some nice changes of pace and everything is pretty much AWESOMENESS on a cd. My favourite song is Kill The Virgin. I am now in love with SCANDAL and their amazing new album. If you are on the fence, buy this now!!!!! and the integrated book is very nice too!
C-ute Concert Tour 2009 Haru -ABC- (Japan Version)
C-ute Concert Tour 2009 Haru -ABC- (Japan Version) DVD Region 2(1)August 12, 2009 Excellent!!!
Kanna has left but C-ute are still at the top of their game. This concert is great, it contains pretty much every song from their Akogare My Star album including Airi's Yes! All My Family, Maimi's Seishun Song, Shines and others like Seventeen's Vow (Forever Love's B-side), Jump and more. There is also a brilliantly entertaining tap dancing routine which is worked into Sakura Chirari and involves all of the girls (not just Airi like it says in Yesasia's description). The dancing is some of the best you are likely to see in Hello! Project and the vocals are amazing. Airi is inspirational - I can't believe she is still only 15.
If you haven't seen a recent C-ute concert I highly recommend this dvd. And if you are a big fan then you should know what to expect. ABC is fantastic and C-ute deliver - big time!
Cute Cutie Circuit 2008 - September 10 wa Cute no Hi - (Japan Version)(2)June 10, 2009 Awesome!
I was unsure about getting this dvd as I had already purchased C-ute's other 2008 Concert and thought that many of the songs would be the same. Well after watching this concert I can say that it's definately worth buying, regardless of any other C-ute concert you might already own.
I'm a big fan of C-ute and think that they are definately the most talented H!P unit (alongside Buono!). Airi is amazing in this concert and her performances in 'AS ONE', 'Soku Dakishimete' and 'Bishoujo Shinri' make them the stand out songs of the concert. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the show is fantastic. It's just Airi is so good, she stands out the most. Other highlights include 'Wasuretakunai Natsu', 'Tokaikko Junjou' and the DJ MAI skit. Also, if you like quality H!P concerts check out Buono!'s Hybrid Punch dvd - it rules!

June 6, 2009 Absolutely Stunning!!!
I'd been looking forward to a Concert dvd release from Buono! for a long time as I'm a big fan, especially since watching their Rock 'n' Buono! concert (fan special). So when I received my Hybrid Punch dvd in the post I was a little worried that it might not be as good I thought it would be. Well, it turned out to be even better, not least because it includes 'Shoshitsuten ~Vanishing Point~' which is my favourite Buono! song. Also included were practically all of my other favourites - Over The Rainbow (Airi on lead vocals), Hoshi no Hitsujitachi - Goal - Kimi ga Ireba - Last Forever - and many many more!
This dvd comes as a 2-disc package - the first disc contains the concert plus backstage footage! And the second disc contains the entire concert with close-up footage of all three members and you can choose which member to watch. Fantastic!
It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny and then some! Hybrid Punch is an amazing concert filled with amazing songs and the vocal performances from Airi, Miyabi and Momoko are simply stunning. I recommend this concert very highly. It's amazing!!!!

March 28, 2009 I have a 'Lotta Love' for Buono!
I love Buono!, mainly because I'm a big fan of Airi Suzuki, but also because they have great songs to sing. I loved Cafe Buono! a lot, and I love Buono! 2 at least as much. It has the brilliant tracks I already love like Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! (track 2), Gachinko de Iko (track 9) and the Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! b-side Minna Daisuki (track 7). But my favourites are Shoshitsuten ~Vanishing Point~ (track 4 - Best song on the album!!!!), I Need You (track 8), Over the Rainbow (track 11) and Goal (track 12). But honestly, the whole album is fantastic - H!P girly rock tunes to proper rock songs that bon jovi and the like would be proud of. If you're reading this review and don't own this album - then you're missing something quite special. BUONO!!!!!

February 15, 2009 Utada is unique!!!
I have preordered this album and wasn't going to leave a review until I had listened to it but I feel compelled to respond to another review left by www.nozomionline.com - I'll start here, 1: "there are plenty of other more talented singers out there" - Hikki is one of the most talented singers in the music business, her technical skill is quite amazing and her voice is capable of effecting me on an emotional level like no other artist I've ever listened to! 2: "her high pitched warbling 'on the verge of crying' vocals and somewhat limited vocal range and appeal"- Her voice is beautiful and her vocal range is immense and unique, which is also why she has a limited appeal, she doesn't sing the same old stuff in the same old way as everyone else, she genuinely writes and sings from her heart! And another thing, her lack of succees in America is down to the fact that she's not a sellout, and her Exodus album was quite experimental which also limited its potential audience. Also, I'm not sure that presenting herself in America as "J-pop to the masses" would be the right thing to do, the musical tastes and cultures in Japan and America are very different. What I am sure of is that however her 'This Is The One' album turns out, as long as she's true to herself, it'll be a success to her true fans!
I don't understand why people feel the need to be so negative and write rubbish. Musicians shouldn't be slaves to their fans, they should be able to express themselves truthfully through their music without "so-called" fans moaning and complaining. Instead, her fans should try to join Hikki on her musical journey and take the time to appreciate how wonderful she really is! I've loved many different types of music by many different artists through my life but Utada Hikaru is special, and we should embrace her music while we're lucky enough to be able to!
Morning Musume Concert Tour 2008 Aki - Resonant Live - (Japan Version)(1)2 people found this review helpful
February 15, 2009 Brilliant!!!
Morning Musume are always thoroughly entertaining and their Resonant Live Concert is as fantastic as I expected. Some people don't seem to like the Momusu of recent years but I love them more than ever. As for the dvd, there are a few new songs I haven't heard before, an amazing solo number from Ai, a solo number from Aika, and perhaps the most surprising performance is the song from Milky Way. They actually sing live! I'm so used to Koharu miming when she sings solo or in other H!P units, and it's very good! It's also really nice to see Junjun and Linlin settling in and developing into solid members, they seem to improve in every concert I watch. All in all I loved it! And would recommend this dvd to all Momusu fans out there. Well done girls - keep up the good work!

January 19, 2009 Brilliant!!!
What a great concert. I normally only buy Morning Musume and wonderful hearts dvds, but I though I'd give C-ute a go. They really are very, very talented. If you compare them with early Morning Musume songs they make Morning Musume look quite average. Clearly this is largely down to the fact that they train to sing and dance from a very young age (Hello! ProEgg). I also think they're a lot better than Berryz Koubou (Who I also like). Anyway, if you are considering buying this dvd, consider no more, Just buy it - it really is worth it!
Girls' Generation Mini Album - GeeJanuary 19, 2009 I'm addicted!!!
I'm a fan of Morning Musume, C-ute, Ayu, Hikki, Ai and Big Bang (interesting combo I know), and while preordering Hikki's new English album I needed to spend a little more to qualify for free tax and shipping. So, after spotting this album in Yesasia's K-pop chart I flew over to youtube to check out the title track 'Gee'. I have now listened to it about 30 times and watched the video just as much! The girls are so cute and the song is mega-groovy and super-catchy!!! And after briefly checking out the other tracks from album I decided very swiftly that Girls' Generation's Gee album is definately worth buying. DO IT NOW! Ahhhhh - I've got Gee flying around continuously inside my brain!!!

January 19, 2009 Loved it!!!!
I'd never heard any music from Otsuka Ai before, but I went to youtube to check some of her songs out after seeing her Love Letter album advertised on Yesasia. After watching Ai's 'Rocket Sneaker' and Kurage Nagareboshi (Jellyfish, Shooting Star) videos I was very impressed and swiftly purchased this cd+dvd (Japanese) version, and after listening to the rest of the album I'm glad I did. The music videos on the dvd are excellent and I noticed something rather interesting - when you return to the main menu after watching a video the menu screen + menu music both vary (I think there are around six different versions of the main menu, though they are random and don't change every single time). Anyway, Ai has a wonderfully cute and quirky voice and a range of song styles are present through the album, so there is something for everyone. I highly recommend 'Love Letter' but you should opt for the cd+dvd version as it's only a little extra dosh for a great bonus dvd!!!

August 8, 2008 Fantastic!!!
I've been looking forward to this dvd since I heard that it was going to be released about 6 weeks ago. A concert that contains all of their 36 singles (in one form or another), brilliant! Some of the songs are at full length, some have had a verse taken out, a few have been rearranged, and ten or so tracks have been remixed into two megamixes. How else would you expect them to perform 36 songs in one show? Anyway the result is amazing! It's relentless and feels like a Morning Musume marathon. All the girls perform wonderfully! And I'm amazed that Mitsui only had to miss a couple of shows after suffering from acute appendicitis. Anyway, if you like Morning Musume, buy this dvd!

August 7, 2008 Great Entertainment!
I am a Morning Musume fan, but over the last year or so I took a liking to Berryz Kobo and C-ute after seeing them perform in the Wonderful Hearts concerts from the last two years. So I decided to look for a Berryz Kobo or C-ute concert dvd in order to see more of what they had to offer and came across this 'Berryz Kobo & Cute Nakayoshi Battle concert tour' dvd, and so I thought I would kill two birds with one stone and check them both out on one dvd. The only thing was, which version should I buy, the C-ute tracks or Berryz Kobo tracks. Well I decided on the Berryz Kobo tracks version. The difference is that you get a second disc which contains three of the tracks from the concert (disc 1) which are performed by Berryz Kobo and C-ute together, but with the camara footage focused on either C-ute or Berryz Kobo (depending on which version you buy), plus some additional backstage footage focused on the same group. The concert (disc 1) is exactly the same for both versions.
Anyway, the show was highly entertaining and runs at a fast pace with both groups performing brilliantly. All of the costume designs and colours are wonderful and the dance routines are extremely well choreographed. I thoroughly enjoyed this dvd and highly recommend it to all Hello! Project fans, so I will definately be keeping my eye out for future dvd releases (concerts) from both groups.
P.S. If you're a Morning Musume fan and haven't purchased their 'Morning Musume Concert Tour 2008 Spring - Single Daizenshu' dvd then I also highly recommend that. Do it! It's fantastic!
Morning Musume Concert Tour 2007 Aki Bon Kyu! Bon Kyu! Bomb (Japan Version)(2)June 16, 2008 Great Entertainment!!!
This concert has a very good setlist, and JunJun and LinLin do a pretty good job too! Risa's developed brilliantly over the years, Ai-chan is fantastic as always, Eri's voice is amazing, and Reina's as cute as usual. v-u-den are great (I recommend their 2007 concert - which is fantastic!) and provide a bit of half-time puppet fun with help from Eri. On the down side, the stage isn't that big and the acoustics aren't as good as they could be. But I recommend Aki Bon Kyu! Bon Kyu! Bomb to all Momusu fan's anyway as it's great entertainment with tracks like Mikan, Kanashimi Twilight, Shanimuni Paradise (brilliant fun), Go Girl koi no Victory, a solo from Ai-chan, a song from the Chinese girls, v-u-den's Koisuru Angel Heart and lots more! ~ Fantastic!
The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford (DVD) (Hong Kong Version)(2)Our Price: US$13.49May 11, 2008 Amazing!!!
This is not an action film. If it was, then it would be like most other westerns. Instead we are presented with an amazingly refreshing character-driven film which gives an account of the last few months of Jesse James' life. The film is quite long, but thoroughly absorbing and left me with a lot to think about. Brad Pitt's and Casey Affleck's performances are outstanding. I recommend 'The Assassination of Jesse James...' very highly!

April 11, 2008 Japan Version
I bought this dvd mainly for 'Real Me', which is one of my favorite ayu songs, but the whole show is great, Ayu always delivers 100% with fantastic outfits and brilliant dance routines! Other highlights are 'Because of You', 'Surreal', 'Ourselves', and 'Angel's Song', also included are the live classics 'Fly High', 'Unite!' and 'independent'. I highly recommend thid dvd to all Ayu fans.

April 8, 2008 White Hot!!!
A Best 2 White (album + 2dvds) is outstanding in every way. The tracklist is brilliant, every song leaps out at you in it's own way. I would name my favorites but it's easier to say 'the whole album'. The music videos dvd is as highly enjoyable as the cd, the songs are brilliant as I've mentioned, and all of the videos are great as all Ayu vids are. Also there's the 'Countdown Live' dvd. It's fantastic! The vocals and the dance routines are amazing. I know this review sounds over-the-top positive like many fans of Ayu would write, but this music / mv / live show compilation really is awesome! This set is one of the best things I've ever bought, it really makes you feel alive - Don't let this album pass you by.
ayumi hamasaki ASIA TOUR 2007 A -Tour of Secret-"LIVE + DOCUMENTARY" (Japan Version)(1)1 people found this review helpful
April 7, 2008 Fantastic!!!
Ayu does it again! her Asia Tour 2007 is great from beginning to end, and her dancing and vocals are outstanding! The tracklist is brilliant, my favorites are - Evolution, UNITE!, M, appears, Kiss O' Kill, independent, and Humming 7/4. Even if you've seen some of the songs from this dvd in Ayu's other concerts it is still worth getting this one as the songs are arranged and performed differently. The only thing I wasn't too pleased about was the intergration of the documentary into the show, every song or two is seperated by a part of the documentary which, in my opinion, broke up the momentum of the show. Take my advice and give Ayu's Asia Tour 2007 a go, it's really really good, but make sure that you skip the documentary chapters during the concert and watch them afterwards.
Utada Hikaru - Heart Station (Korea Version)1 people found this review helpful
April 4, 2008 Wonderful
I'm a huge admirer of Utada Hikaru's wonderous individual vocal style and love all of her previous albums, but like many I was unsure what to expect from her latest offering Heart Station. Having already heard Flavor of Life, Kiss & Cry, Beautiful World, Heart Station and Stay Gold, I wondered how much more her new album could have to offer. Well, having recently received my Heart Station cd I can now say that the rest of the album is brilliant. The opening track Fight The Blues is Wonderful, and prepares you for the overall flavor of the album which flows effortlessly from track to track. I can honestly say that there are no tracks that I want to skip, even the children's song Boku wa Kuma ('My Teddy' - Track 11) is a really nice song. Utada's Heart Station is a beautiful music experience, it's kind to your ears and gentle on your mood and I love it! And I'm looking forward to Utada's next English album.
Xenogears Original Soundtrack (Japan Version)1 people found this review helpful
March 12, 2008 Fantastic!
I'm a huge fan of Japanese RPGs and their soundtracks (Final Fantasy/Lost Odyssey etc) and Xenogears has always been close to my heart since I played it many years ago. Before I bought the soundtrack I found it quite difficult to remember exactly what it sounded like but as I listened to it, it all came flooding back to me. It is even better than I remember, and easily stands tall when compared to more modern game soundtracks, in fact, it inspired me to re-purchase the game to play on my old Playstation! Xenogears is one of the finest games I've ever played and the soundtrack, although getting on a bit, is still one of the greatest game soundtracks to date, and I would recommend it to all who played the game.

January 10, 2008 Excellent
I have to admit, after watching Utada United 2006 and Utada in Budokan 2004 this dvd was a shock to the system, at first. Hikki must be like 19 years old or something and is clearly on the learning curve, It takes her quite a few songs to get going too, but when she does... fantastic, even at this tende age her vocals are fantastic. Overall I loved this performance (21 tracks), although you have to get used to a very different presentation compared to her later live dvds.
