December 19, 2006 Great DVD!! OK Movie!! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
The packaging was real nice. Similar to the recent Godzilla Heisei R3 discs UL released. You pull the dvd case from a cardboard case(just like the G discs), but you pull it from the side instead of up or down. I really liked the packaging. The cardboard case looks exactly like the dvd case, but that's fine. A+ 5/5 on the packaging

The video is perfect. There was no grain, and the picture was not blurry or anything like that. It's in its original aspect ratio as well. A+ 5/5 on the video quality.

The sound was great as well. Comes with 5.1 surround sound. Everyone should know that theres no English dub. Nothing wrong. A+ 5/5 on sound

Comes with three options, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English. I don't know what there actually saying in Japanese but the English subtitles were good. There was a scene when Toto(Gamera) was stuck in the building and the boy(Toru) was screaming "Toto.." but the subs were saying, "Ah.." instead. Kinda made me laugh, but that was the only problem. 5/5 on subs. On the back of the case it does say the subtitles are based off the japanese version.

    Special Features:
It has a Gamera: The Brave trailer that had english subs, so I was happy about that. Also had a phot gallery, which were only pictures from the movie itself, nothing behind the scenes. Has scene selections. Pretty basic. 4/5

It was a real nice release in my opinion. The main thing to me was how good the picture and sound quality was. Cheap way to get the new Gamera movie, which has english subs. I easily recommend this DVD release. 5/5

    The movie:
The movie itself was just "ok," to me. It's definately not as good as the 90's Gamera trilogy, but ok none the less. It's an alright story as well. 4/5 for the movie itself.
