Featuring the voice talents of Mcdull regulars Sandra Ng, Anthony Wong and The Pancakes, as well as piano maestro Li Yundi, this outing by the iconic cartoon takes a closer look at Mcdull's relationship with his wonderfully headstrong mother.

Courted by the FBI, Scotland Yard and the like, Bobby Mak is often referred to as the most revered private detective since Sherlock Holmes. When asked about his awe-inspiring achievements, Bobby says that everything began with his mum, Mrs. Mak.

As a child, Bobby Mak was known as Mcdull. Although Mcdull wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, his mother was a different story. Her astounding intelligence and resourcefulness enabled her to, for example, simultaneously run more than six businesses from a space of less than 100 square feet. Mcdull and his mother lived together happily during Mcdull's childhood, but things began to change as Mcdull got older. A distance that never existed before began to grow between him and his mother...

Product Information

It all begins with mom, Madame Mak, As money seems always in short supply, Madame Mak is always working: hosting TV shows, selling house ware and doubling as plumber. She takes Bobby along, and Bobby who is both dumb and unlucky, always messes up. But Madame Mak has too much spunk for life and love for her Bobby.

Bobby remembers especially two incidents: His one-time ingenuity that wins the lottery, though that never translate to fancy clothes or trips to Japan or mom not working; and NASA summoning Madame Mak on a space mission, and Bobby is entrusted to the care of an Uncle whom Bobby never meets again.

Bobby finishes school and becomes a seaman. His travels take him away from mom and he doesn’t think about her much. Then he enters university and becomes a detective. Madame Mak continues to work, until she receives another summon from NASA….

 McDull is McBrilliant! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
A locked room murder has occurred and the local police are stumped in their efforts to figure out who did it. World famous master detective Bobby Mac is called in to solve the mystery. Bobby quickly diagnoses the situation, dazzling the police with his insights, then goes to meet his adoring public.

Through the questions he is asked, we learn his life story, including the tortuous route Bobby Mac has taken to becoming the great man he is. It turns out that behind the great man's success lies a great mom!

'McDull, Me and My Mum' manages to be hilarious, wildly imaginative, and heartwarming in equal measures. If you have enjoyed any of the films in the superb McDull franchise, or if you are looking for a good entry point to the series, then do not miss this funny and touching treat.
