　　正直的馬商克拉斯（麥德米克山飾演），偶然在一次買賣的歸途中被官員徵召兩匹駿馬，奉公守法的他將駿馬借給領主的官員，卻換回了僕人的全身傷痕累累以及兩匹瘦弱憔悴的馬。耿直的他決定透過法庭向領主討回公道，卻發生心愛妻子卻遭到殘暴襲擊、最終死在克拉斯的懷中。在悲憤的情緒之下，他決定拔劍起義找回正義……。
