Han Ji Min (The Age of Shadows) won Best Actress at the 39th Blue Dragon Film Awards, 3rd London East Asia Film Festival and 38th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards for her outstanding performance as an ex-convict who previously suffered from family violence in Miss Baek. Directed by Lee Ji Won, the sorrowful yet thrilling film co-stars child actress Kim Si A, Lee Hee Joon (1987: When the Day Comes), Kwon So Hyun (Dark Figure of Crime), Baek Soo Jang (Anarchist from Colony) and Jang Young Nam (Confidential Assignment). Miss Baek was also selected as one of the Top 11 Films at the Korean Association of Film Critics Awards, while Kwon So Hyun won Best Supporting Actress for the first time.
Known as Miss Baek, Baek Sang Ah (Han Ji Min) is labeled an "ex-convict" because of her past. She seldom opens up to others, but she begins to change after coming across a little girl named Kim Ji Eun (Kim Si A) on the street. Ji Eun, who is a victim of family violence, reminds Miss Baek of her own tragic past. Miss Baek becomes determined to save Ji Eun from her brutal family. Jang Seob (Lee Hee Joon), who has feelings for Miss Baek, helps them with their journey of escape.
