Wuba is back in Monster Hunt 2, the sequel to Shrek animator Raman Hui's 2015 blockbuster period fantasy. The first film about a tiny radish monster caught in the altercation between humans and monsters set a box office record in China back in 2015. The second film proved to be a hit once again, breaking into China's top ten grossing films of all time. Besides the return of Wuba and his human parents, Bai Baihe and Jing Boran, Monster Hunt 2 ups the ante with the addition of superstar Tony Leung Chiu Wai in a new role! The special effects-laden family-friendly adventure comedy also includes Eric Tsang, Sandra Ng, pop star Chris Lee, Taiwan actor Yo Yang, Da Peng, Huang Lei, Song Xiaobao, Liu Yan and singer Momo Wu.

After tearfully parting ways with Wuba, bumbling villager Tianyin (Jing Boran) and monster hunter Xiaolan (Bai Baihe) set out in search of her father. Meanwhile, Wuba, who had returned to Yongning Village, is again attacked by monsters and forced to go on the run. He gets picked up by indebted swindler Tu Sigu (Tony Leung), who intends to exchange Wuba for bounty. When Tianyin and Xiaolan learn that Wuba is in danger, they rush to save him with the help of the Monster Hunter Bureau.

[ストーリー]
