Fourteen years after Late Autumn, Tang Wei collaborates with her husband, writer-director Kim Tae Yong, again for the sci-fi romantic drama Wonderland. Kim Tae Yong's sixth feature film casts an all-star ensemble including Bae Suzy (Ashfall), Park Bo Gum (Seobok), Jung Yumi (Sleep), Choi Woo Sik (Parasite), Choi Moo Sung (The Night Owl) and Tang Jun Sang (Dog Days), as well as Gong Yoo (Seobok) in a special appearance.
Wonderland captures the stories of those meeting loved ones again on "Wonderland," a video call service that can resurrect the dead in a simulated world through the power of artificial intelligence. Archaeologist Byri (Tang Wei) has commissioned the service to hide her death from her young daughter. Jeong In (Bae Suzy) uses the service to meet her comatose boyfriend Tae Ju (Park Bo Gum). Service planner Hae Ri (Jung Yumi) has used AI to communicate with her parents since she was young. Meanwhile, Hyeon Soo (Choi Woo Sik), a new worker at Wonderland, accidentally learns a family secret on the platform.
