미스터트롯 TOP6 ‘감사’ 앨범 9월 28일 예약판매 시작!
지금까지 대한민국의 음악 역사상 트롯이 이렇게 집중 조명을 받았던 때가 있었을까.
그 중심에 서 있는 6명의 트롯맨, 미스터트롯 TOP6가 9월 28일 <감사> 앨범 예약판매를 시작한다. 9월 21일 온라인으로 발매된 <감사>는 팬들을 위한 특별한 구성과 함께 피지컬 앨범으로도 발매될 예정이다.
미스터트롯 TOP6의 <감사>는 지난 1년 6개월간의 여정 동안 트롯맨 6명이 저마다의 방식으로 표현한 '감사'의 마음을 담은 6곡과 Inst 6곡으로 구성되어 있다. 한 곡 한 곡 그들의 진솔한 이야기를 듣다 보면, 여섯 남자의 음악으로 위로받았던 지난날을 떠올릴 수 있을 것이다.
<감사>는 TOP6의 첫 발걸음부터 지금까지의 모든 여정을 담아낸 첫 앨범이다.

Survival audition programs Miss Trot and Mr. Trot have taken Korea by storm in the recent two years, turning nameless singers like Song Ga In (winner of Miss Trot) and Lim Young Woong (winner of Mr. Trot) into superstars. Their significance goes beyond just being "good singers" – they've brought fandom culture to middle-aged audiences and introduced the traditional Korean music genre to younger generations. Wrapping up their group activities, Mr. Trot Top 6 gather their solo digital singles into their first (and temporarily last) full-length album Thanks for You.
Young Tak and Jang Min Ho deliver the most authentic and traditional style of trot music and singings in their solo tracks. Different from his sleeper hits "Why Are You Coming Out From There" and Jjin-iya, Young Tak's "Comforter" (Track 1) heals with the singer's emotional voice and warm lyrics: "I want to be your comforter, to cover up your wounding heart." Jang Min Ho comforts listeners by singing "That's Life" (Track 5) in the rock trot song produced by Cho Young Soo, the writer of SG Wannabe's "Partner For Life" and Lalala. Lim Young Woong and Lee Chan Won present a more modern style of trot that resembles pop ballad in their solo releases. Penned by trot veteran Sul Woon Do, Lim Young Woong's #1 single "My Starry Love" (Track 2) gives off a romantic ambience with its jazzy melody and heart-tugging lyrics: "My love who is like a starlight shining bright in the sky, you are my eternal love. I love you, I love you." Lee Chan Won sings about the joy of enjoying oneself in the "Convenience Store" (Track 6) (produced by trot diva Hong Jin Young) after a long day of hard work. Jeong Dong Won and Kim Hee Jae bring out the stylish and upbeat vibe of trot in their solo tracks. 14-year-old "trot prodigy" Jeong Dong Won spreads his youthful and cheery energy through the catchy teen trot plug "My Favorite" (Track 4), which showcases his strong and refreshing vocals. Kim Hee Jae unleashes his idol-like charms with the dreamy, self-written dance song "Follow Me" (Track 3) produced by Young Tak. It's a pity that Mr. Trot Top 6 didn't get to record an original group single for Thanks for You, but they still bless us with powerful and refreshing vocals in their different styles of trot numbers. The trot craze marks a cultural reset in Korea, and it's great to see more varieties of K-trot coming to freshen up our playlists! |
