The fourth of the popular Mr. Vampire series, Mr. Vampire Saga 4 unfortunately does not star regular actor Lam Ching Ying, but more than compensates with Wu Ma and Anthony Chan as two grumpy priest types, acrobatic actor-director Chin Ka Lok as one of their assistants, and the lovely Loletta Lee as the eye candy du jour! Anthony Chan is the requisite Taoist priest, who's engaged in a fued with his Monk neighbor (Wu Ma). Chin Ka Lok and Loletta Lee are the sidekicks, who play witness to the wacky shenanigans of the two fueding sages - until a royal transport comes to town bearing a gold coffin. As a Mr. Vampire movie would be nothing without a roving undead terror, the contents of the coffin breaks free, and carnage, mayhem, and cool Taoist shtick ensues! Anthony Chan and Wu Ma provide the Taoist action, while Chin Ka Lok is responsible for the kicks, punches, and bone-crunching falls that no Hong Kong action comedy would be complete without! Produced by Sammo Hung and directed by Mr. Vampire regular Ricky Lau Koon Wai, Mr. Vampire Saga 4 continues the horror-comedy series in grand style!

The Buddhist Monk and the Taoist Priest, both blessed with ghost-taming powers, have been quarrelling all over the landscape. Still, they are good friends. The Priest shepherds a group of corpses home. He has to fight off some vicious devils. The Priest's classmate has been assigned the job of accompanying the coffin of a prince back to the capital. One night, a thunderbolt rips the coffin and the prince becomes a vampire. He kills many people. The Priest asks to help. He finds his classmate has killed himself. Before the Priest reaches home, Chia-lo, the Priest's student, is attacked by the princeis attacked by the prince. Chia-lo is rescued by the Priest and the Monk. But when the vampire prince pounces with murderous intensions, the vampire-fighters have to give their last bit of effort and wisdom to save themselves.

not the same but funny as hell

although its about vampire's too but its not on the same level as Mr Vampire series. it has different characters and a different feel.
but its one hilarious film, credit must be given to the writers who managers to think up of such an enjoyable plot. the actors seem to enjoy themselves and it shows. Yuen Wah is so funny as the gay guard. too bad he doesn't do any kung fu. |

Ai yah
| It is about time that they release this movie again. Highly recommended for those who like Hong Kong Vampire movies. Wu Ma and Anthony Chan are simply hilarous here. Lots of fun even if you watch it again |
