Robico's best-selling manga Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun has been adapted into the live-action high school romance My Little Monster! The ever popular and prolific Suda Masaki and Tsuchiya Tao pair up in the bright and moving youth film about discovering friendship and love for the first time. Directed by Tsukikawa Sho (Let Me Eat Your Pancreas, Sensei Kunshu), the film also features other young stars like Furukawa Yuki (Laughing Under the Clouds), Yamada Yuki (Friends Games), Ikeda Elaiza (ReLIFE), Sano Gaku (Honey) and Hamabe Minami (Let Me Eat Your Pancreas).

Shizuku (Tsuchiya Tao) is a cold and anti-social girl who has believed only in studying since a young age. Oddball outsider Haru (Suda Masaki) is called a "monster" because of his impulsive and unpredictable behavior. These two high school students with no friends sit next to each other in class. One day, the teacher asks Shizuku to deliver class notes to Haru, who has been absent since getting in a fight on the first day of school. Because of this, Haru thinks that Shizuku is his first friend and even tells her that he likes her! Shizuku is at first indifferent to Haru's confession, but the two grow close over time. Having taken the first step, they begin to open up to other people as well, experiencing friendship, romance and even a love triangle for the first time!
