Returning to the small screen for his first TV drama in four years, Rain plays a talent agency CEO who finds himself falling in love with his late girlfriend's sister. Cha Ye Ryun (Gold Rainbow), Kim Jin Woo (Queen In Hyun's Man), Clazziquai's Alex (Hotel King), BESTie's Hae Ryung and T-ara N4's Dani also appear in My Lovely Girl.

Once the toast of the music industry, hit songwriter and producer Lee Hyun Wook (Rain) left Korea after witnessing the death of his girlfriend. A few years later, he returns to Seoul and takes up the CEO position of his father's talent agency AnA. Still unable to let go of the past, Hyun Wook wants to help out his girlfriend's younger sister Yoon Se Na (Krystal), an aspiring composer in need of a chance. Inspired by her sister's music, Se Na joins AnA as a trainee and even attracts an admirer in rebellious idol Shi Woo (L). Dealing with detractors and obstacles together, Hyun Wook and Se Na grow closer and closer over time, but Se Na is unaware that he was her sister's boyfriend.
