Hey！Say！JUMPの山田涼介のソロデビューシングルは、2013年新春放送の日本テレビ系スペシャルドラマ「金田一少年の事件簿　香港九龍財宝殺人事件」の主題歌です。山田涼介は、初代の堂本剛、二代目の松本潤、三代目の亀梨和也に続く四代目の“金田一一（はじめ）”役として主演します。共演者はビビアン・スー、V.I（BIGBANG）、ウーズン（元「飛輪海」）などアジアのスターを始め、川口春奈、有岡大貴（Hey！Say！JUMP）など。豪華キャストで香港ロケを含む約2カ月間を撮影に費やした、アクションシーン満載のこのドラマは、日本テレビ開局60年の特別番組として、同局初の試みとなるアジア各国・地域で同日放送されることが決定しています。

「金田一少年の事件簿」の主題歌として書き下ろされた「ミステリーヴァージン」は、真相に近づいていくたびに少年から青年へと成長していく様子を、スリリングな展開の中に繊細なメロディを乗せて表現したダンスナンバーです！

通常盤には、山田涼介が作詞を手がけた新曲「銀の世界に願いを込めて」に加えて、KinKi Kidsの13枚目のシングル「Hey!みんな元気かい？」のカップリング曲「愛のかたまり」のカバーが収録されています。この曲は、KinKi Kidsのベストアルバム「39」にも、ファン投票1位によりDisc1の1曲目に収録されている人気曲で、山田もコンサートなどで歌えることを以前からずっと願っていました。今回、ソロシングルを発売するにあたり、この曲の作家でもあるKinKi Kidsの2人にカバーの許諾を申し込んだところ快諾していただきました。カップリング楽曲も大充実で、話題になること必至のシングルです！
