Dot 2 Dot director Amos Why returns with another locally minded Hong Kong story in his sophomore feature Napping Kid. Adapted from an award-winning novel by Mannshin, the high-concept mystery takes many twists, turns and jabs at society through a case of digital ransom. She Remembers, He Forgets stars Ng Siu Hin and Cecilia So reunite in the film alongside an ensemble cast that includes David Siu, Michael Wong and Candy Cheung.

Bank analyst Siu Yu (Cecilia So) is rushing to complete financial analysis for a client, but the confidential data disappears from the server. Soon after, her boss (Michael Wong) receives an email demanding a strangely small ransom payment within three days. To hide the leak from the public, Siu Yu's superior Irene (Candy Cheung) asks her cop ex-husband Tong (David Siu) to help secretly investigate the matter. All people who had access to the files become suspects, including Siu Yu and IT guy Dylan (Ng Siu Hin) whom Siu Yu initially enlisted to recover the missing file. Tong gathers all the suspects into one apartment to monitor them for the duration of the investigation. However, the case gets increasingly murky as the mystery culprit sends them on a wild goose chase completing seemingly small and random tasks.
