近來彷彿每星期都在跟朋友道別，各人有各人離別的原因。於我而言，除了音樂，我想不到其他的方法去回應，所以我做了這張專輯“On Departure”。”On Departure”是我第一張概念專輯，也是我第一張發行的黑膠唱片；裡面除了有六首新歌還有兩段和電子音樂人Jovin 合作的VO。VO用了電音營造了宇宙的感覺去配合關於太空人的故事，而故事都跟我剛在文化中心上演的音樂劇場作品“我們在此漂流”扣連。黑膠唱片把八首歌剛好分成Side A & B，彷如劇場裡的上下半場，是設計讓聽眾一次過經歷的專輯。
而做黑膠唱片我覺得必須找編弦樂特別出色的監製孔奕佳；片尾曲”When you leave you behind” 及 “Utopia” 盡顯弦樂凄美的感染力。另外還找了合作多次的CMgroovy和謝國維挑戰以電音編曲來配搭我的木吉他，結果他們監製的”Home”和”Maybe You Miss Someone”成為了大碟的主打曲。既然暫時不能旅遊，不妨聽聽這張專輯來一個短暫的心靈出走。
