《向世界出發》是TVB全新真實紀錄系列節目，邀請了多位藝人，包括羅家英、周汶錡、林莉、羅蘭、林嘉欣、夏雨、胡杏兒、米雪和鄭伊健，與大家一起探討世界不同地方的風土人情及分享他們當中的體會，足跡更遍及神州、泰國、梵蒂崗、杜拜、意大利和印度。

TVB has traveled over the world over the past 38 years. And yet in the year of 2006, TVB hits the road again, with a view to producing this travelogue with difference.

Unlike other travelogues that lead you glance around tourist attractions, travel documentary On The Road offers a chance for the artistes as well as TV Viewers to experience spice of life on a more relaxing pace. Artistes such as Law Kar Ying, Kathy Chow, Lam Lee, Law Lan, Karena Lam, Ha Yu, Myolie Wu, Michelle Yim and Ekin Cheng are invited to embark on the journeys to experience real life in different corners of world, for example ainland China, Thailand, The Vatican, Dubai, Italy and India.
