Besides the historic win at the Oscars, the unpredictable black comedy thriller was also the first Korean film to win the Cannes Film Festival's Palme d'Or. Bong Joon Ho's acclaimed satire stars Song Kang Ho (Snowpiercer), Jang Hye Jin (Adulthood), Choi Woo Sik (Okja) and Park So Dam (Priests) as a poor family that cons their way into employment with an affluent household. Lee Seon Gyun (Take Point) and Jo Yeo Jeong (The Servant) play the well-heeled targets of their deception.

The Kim family – father Ki Taek (Song Kang Ho), wife Chung Sook (Jang Hye Jin), son Ki Woo (Choi Woo Sik) and daughter Ki Jung (Park So Dam) – live in a semi-basement and barely make ends meet with low-paying jobs. Through a friend's recommendation, Ki Woo becomes a tutor for the daughter of the wealthy Park family. His sister soon joins the scam by posing as an art therapist. Then their parents get hired as the family's driver and housekeeper. Without the Parks noticing, the Kims have gradually infiltrated their home, and they're not about to give up their comfortable new gig.
