An odd visitor forces all of us to rethink our ideas of belief and faith in PK, the latest blockbuster comedy from 3 Idiots director Rajkumar Hirani. The filmmaker reunites with his 3 Idiots star Aamir Khan for this offbeat fantasy comedy that shattered box office records and ignited important debates about the role of religion in Indian society.

Khan stars as a visitor from another planet who comes to Earth on a research trip. However, the remote to retrieve his spaceship is stolen almost as soon as he arrives, trapping him on Earth. On his journey to find his remote, the alien visitor – now nicknamed PK for his stumbling innocent nature – discovers the concept of religion and questions the effectiveness of certain cults that seem to be out for profit rather than worship. With the help of a curious reporter (Anushka Sharma), PK comes up with the concept of "wrong number," the idea that certain cult leaders aren't really speaking to God, but rather a prankster on the other end of the line.

[ストーリー]
留学先で悲しい失恋を経験し、今は母国インドでテレビレポーターをするジャグーは、ある日あらゆる宗教の飾りをつけてチラシを配る奇妙な男を見かける。チラシには「神さまが行方不明」の文字。ネタになると踏んだジャグーは、「ＰＫ」と呼ばれるその男を取材することに。しかし、彼女がＰＫから聞いた話は、にわかには信じられないものだった。驚くほど世間の常識が一切通用しないＰＫの純粋な問いかけは、やがて大きな論争を巻き起こし始める—。
