Proposal Daisakusen (DVD) (Boxset) (End) (Japan Version) DVD Region 2
YesAsia Editorial Description
NEWS heartthrob Yamashita Tomohisa (Byakkotai) and popular actress Nagasawa Masami (Touch) paired up before two years ago in Dragon Zakura, and they show even better chemistry this time in Fuji TV's popular drama Proposal Daisakusen (a.k.a. Operation Love). Helping to boost the drama's photogenic points further are Fujiki Naohito (Hotaru no Hikari), Eikura Nana (My Sister, My Love), and Hiraoka Yuta (First Kiss). Lighthearted romance with a time-travel twist, Proposal Daisakusen is surprisingly realistic in its portrayal of the characters' personalities and relationships, and how lives change, or don't change, because of the time blip. Humorous and affecting, Proposal Daisakusen easily ranks as one of the most heartfelt trendy J-dramas of 2007.

The BEST There Is.
Of all the dramas, shows and movies I've ever seen, there has been only one that captured my heart completely and kept it for a long time - Proposal Daisakusen.
It's been almost a year since having viewed if for the first time, and I'm still head over heels in love with this series.
I expected this to be a funny show about romance, but it turned out to be SO much more. Never have I seen something so entertaining, yet at the same time, so meaningful, layered, and gorgeous to watch. After reading comments about this show from various people, I really did see how it was making people think. The cast was excellent, the show made me feel really nostalgic, especially during the first half while Ken and Rei were still in highschool, and the OST is the best I've heard. I still listen to the songs almost every day without fail.
Hands down the sweetest, most endearing and meaningful show I've seen. It's not the best I've seen (that would go to 1 Litre of Tears), but definitely my favourite show ever. I still can't get it out of my head after all these months. The script - the dialogue, touched me infinitely. Watching Ken go out of his way to do anything and everything for the girl he loved (though he wavered countless times) was so much fun. I laughed, cried, cheered and felt in awe the whole way through. The storyline is unmatched - going back in time to correct past regrets - only to realise it's no use to wallow in the past. We have to live in the present and do all we can so that our future shines bright ahead of us. Though that is a simple message, it's interwoven so impeccably here in this show, shaped by Ken's journey through time to win Rei's heart, that when I came to the final episode I felt myself trembling with the emotion of it all.
Masami and Yamapi, the leading actors of the show, have top-notch chemistry. I was captured by them. Masami stole the show for me. She's so beautiful and elegant, such a delight to watch. Her subtle acting caught me by surprise, and I became an instant fan. Yamapi, on the other hand, took me a while to warm up to. But in the end, I was also won over by him, especially by his acting in the last episode. He's become my ichiban. Now, YaMasami is my favourite couple ever, and I'm a die-hard fan. <3
A truly satisfying, gem of a show.
Love it, love it, LOVE IT!
