Hallelujah chance! Aired on Fuji TV in March 2008, Proposal Daisakusen Special picks up the story one year after the events of the original drama. Yamashita Tomohisa and Nagasawa Masami are back as the meant-to-be couple who just can't seem to properly voice their love to each other. This time the crew went all the way to Hawaii for some beautiful location shooting and, of course, wistful time traveling. Supporting cast Fujiki Naohito, Hiraoka Yuta, Eikura Nana, Hamada Gaku, and Mikami Hiroshi also reprise their roles.

Ken (Yamashita Tomohisa) and Rei (Nagasawa Masami) have been together for a year now, but the past continues to rest heavily in their hearts. With Ken still brooding over the trouble he raised in order to be with Rei, the topic of marriage remains an unspoken taboo for this stubborn couple. Their buddies Hisashi (Hamada Gaku) and Eri (Eikura Nana), however, are happily tying the knot, and in Hawaii! History repeats itself when an uncertain Eri goes missing on her wedding day and Ken encounters the same chapel fairy (Mikami Hiroshi) who helped him a year ago. Ken goes back in time to help Hisashi and Eri amend their misunderstandings, and along the way he is forced to face the insecurities in his own relationship.
