The Legend Of Speed
October 16, 2003 Ekin's best performance...Though Ekin Cheng is usually a driftwood in movies, I thought his performance was decent in Legend of Speed. I certainly thought it was better than Fast and the Furious... Remember this movie came out before it. If anything, Fast and the furious is like Legend of Speed if any relations, which I don't see any by the way. Patrick Tam did a great job, Kellin Lin and Cecilia Cheung were hot. What else can you ask for? Oh yeah... The WRX and the Lancer... Wooo Hoooo!!! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Running Out Of Time 2 (DVD) (Hong Kong Version)
October 16, 2003 The sequel that was downright goofy...First Running Out of Time was great. It had purpose. This sequel... What the heck? Ekin Cheng the goofy magician. It was just downright awkward. At least Kelly Lin was in it... Woo Hoo... Otherwise I would have rated this film lower. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Happy Together (DVD) (Hong Kong Version)
October 16, 2003 Excellente!!!Great existentials are derived from this movie. The relationship truly transcends above the gay relationship. Truly anyone involved in a relationship can relate to his movie. Excellent performance from both Tony and Leslie. Great cinematography from Chris Doyle. Overall excellent movie. Definitely worth seeing! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Fighting For Love
October 16, 2003 Cute...Tony Leung is in it. I just wonder why such a great calibur actor do B movies. Hmmmm... His performance was decent and it was an overall cute movie. Just fluff you can watch when you are bored. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
In The Mood For Love (DTS Version and Speical Edition)
October 16, 2003 Visual Beauty...In the mood for love was a visual masterpiece. Once again, Wong Kar Wai has made another unforgetable movie. While Wong Kar Wai is not a storyteller, his subjective way of telling a story is excellent. It allows the viewers to derive a conclusion from the movie. Wong Kar Wai relies on emotions to tell his stories (His work truly trascends the saying a picture is worth a thousand words). Truly one of the best visual movies I have ever seen, I recommend this movie to any art house film aficionados. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

October 16, 2003 No...Aaron Kwok and Daniel Wu computer programers... I couldn't buy it. Only give this movie a 4 because of Francis Ng... He's always good. Otherwise the movie is trash. I didn't see nothing special.. Action was not good. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
October 16, 2003 Only decent because of Patrick Tam
What? Koo Tin Lok and Wu Yan Jie good actors... NO... this movie was all suported by Patrick Tam. He had an excellent performance, but the others... Well, they could have been replaced. The plot... ummmmm... none really. It was overall a decent movie because of Patrick Tam. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Hit Team (DVD) (Hong Kong Version)
October 16, 2003 Uhhhhhh... Hmmmmm...Acting? There was not acting in this movie. New talent all crap. Old talent... Well, no talent to begin with. Action was decent, but I just rather watch an hour of COPS on tv. The plot has been played a thousand times. What? Special talent? I didn't see anyting tactical from any of them. I plan to sell this movie on ebay. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Princess-d (DVD) (Director's Cut) (Hong Kong Version)
October 16, 2003 Concur...Movie was OK... Nothing Special. Angelica lee is an overrated actress. Daniel Wu... Well, at least attempting to get better at the acting gig. Edison Chen, well... he shouldn't be in the business in the first place. Well, he shouldn't even in Hong Kong. Enough Said. Nothing special. I didn't feel the chemistry between Daniel and Angelica. Anthony Wong didn't do anything. Edison Chen is just there for no reason. Overall, the movie was decent. They could have jsut got rid of Edison... He was not useful. Did you find this review helpful? Naked Weapon (Hong Kong Version)
October 16, 2003 Heinously horribleNon-Cantonese speaking actors + poor acting = Naked Weapon. Just horrible. Only good this about this movie is that you get to breifly see Mona Q's boobies. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Fulltime Killer
October 16, 2003 Decent attempt to sway from Orthadox HK action...Though the purpose of this movie was to attract Western audience, it did a decent job. I thought they could have just spoke cantonese. English was just horrible from some of the actors. But overall... decent movie... Well choreographed action.... Nice Bullet ballet... Decent acting, but no plot. Well, there is Kelly Lin... That is why I gave the movie a few extra points! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Love On A Diet
October 16, 2003 Might be a little fluffy, but great movie...I watched this movie with my girl friend and I throughly enjoyed it. Great acting performances by both Andy and Sammi and the chemistry just explodes in this movie. It was very cute. Though they try to manipulate your emotions with the sacrifices from Andy (Only weak minded get manipulated), it was touching because people in relationships can relate to that... This movie is better than Needing YOu. I recommend this movie. It has Mister Tofu's seal of approval! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

October 16, 2003 Interesting...This was the first movie Wong Kar Wai wrote and directed. It was a decent first movie, but not the best. It was a movie Wong Kar Wai tried to explore his abilities and it came out decent. His skills mature during Days of Being Wild when he collaborated with Chris Doyle, greatest asian cinematographer. Wong Kar Wai's spotaneous directional style can't be seen in this movie, but what makes this movie decent is the acting from Andy and Jackie. It's worth seeing... Did you find this review helpful? Ashes Of Time
October 16, 2003 Great movie, bad transferExcellent movie from Wong Kar Wai. Like always, great existentials are derived from it... Well, it's usually the same, but still... Great Stuff!!! The acting was superb, but Cheung Kwok Wing... Well, I can't see him as a martial artist (The only one in the movie I couldn't believe), but still gave an excellent performance. Great cast all around, but that might have hindered the quality of the movie because no one actor was really able to shine in the movie. This might not be the best Wong Kar Wai movie, but it's still better than a lot of HK movies out there. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Needing You
October 16, 2003 Fluffy, but decent...Though this movie was kind of fluffy, it was decent. Once again I see Raymond Wong, but his part was brief and tolerable. The plot... well, it's a HK love story, don't expect much from it. But the acting was decent and Andy and Sammi has some chemistry... It's just some fluff you can watch when you are bored, but you will be mildly entertained from it. I recommed love on a diet. It's a better movie! Did you find this review helpful? Hard Boiled (DTS Version) (US Version)
October 16, 2003 What can I say...A word to describe this movie... CLASSIC!!! Two of the greatest actors in HK cinema in one movie plus a decent one named Anthony Wong. Well choreographed bullet ballet, through there was an extrageration over the capacity of the bullet clips. It's a masterpiece of bullets and blood that is the bench mark from action movies and no one has really toppled it. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Running Out Of Time
October 16, 2003 Over-praised, but still a good movie...I can say I enjoyed the movie throughly, but it didn't really deserve the praise it got. The plot was nothing special, but what makes this movie strong is the acting. Sean Lau aka Next Chow Yun Fat, did an excellent job. Though not his best acting performance, Andy Lau did a decent acting job as well. It definitely a movie worth seeing... Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
PTU (DVD) (Hong Kong Version)

October 16, 2003 It was different...The plot was decent, but it's nothing extraordinary. What makes this movie a plus is that it's like a breath of fresh air from the orthadox frantic pace action movies. Overall acting in the movie was decent, but Raymond Wong's acting ability is still questionable. The cinematography was great... And it's overall decent movie... Did you find this review helpful? (12)Our Price: US$9.99List: US$10.99Save: US$1.00 (9%)October 16, 2003 decent plot, but bad acting from new talent...When I first laid eyes on this dvd, I was excited... With Anthony Wong, Sean Lau, and Francis Ng, I thought this movie can't do me wrong. Well, it did. Sean Lau and Francis Ng only have a cameo and Anthony Wong was only decent. Well, the breif appearances and lack of good acting from Anthony wasn't the main problem, It was the new talent and some of the old. First, Raymond Wong was just horrible... He lacked emotions to protray the character properly. Gillian... Well, you know she is a teeny boppin' fruit cake so you can't expect much from her. And finally, Patrick Tse... Why is this guy still here... His son acts better than him and his son isn't much of a talent himself Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Heroic Duo (DVD) (DTS) (Hong Kong Version)
October 16, 2003 Decent...It was a decent movie, but lacked good quality of acting. Though Lai Ming, Karen Lam, and Francis Ng was in the movie, their acting ability was not projected in high quality. Don't expect much from Ekin Cheng, he has always been a drift wood. The plot... Ummmm... Well, it was better than I expected, but it wasn't that great. Remember... This is a Benny Chan movie and he is not known for plots. Remember the Gen-x-cops and Gen-y-cops? Hahahaha...
