Along With the Gods stars Ha Jung Woo and Ju Ji Hoon reunite in the action film Ransomed! Helmed by A Hard Day director Kim Seong Hun, the action drama is adapted from the true story of a kidnapped Korean diplomat in Lebanon in 1986. Ransomed follows the two leads' mission to rescue a hostage in foreign land.
In 1987, diplomat Min Jun (Ha Jung Woo), who has been stuck in the Middle East Department for five years, receives a coded message from an abducted colleague who went missing in Lebanon. He volunteers to rescue the hostage, in hopes of getting appointed to the U.S. after completing this operation successfully. Soon after arrival at the airport, Min Jun escapes a volley of shots from airport security guards, and hops in the taxi of Korean driver Pan Su (Ji Ji Hoon) by chance. Pan Sun becomes the only person Min Jun can lean on in this unofficial mission.
