Kim Soo Hyun, who last appeared on the silver screen in the 2013 blockbuster Secretly, Greatly, challenges the noir-action genre in his long-anticipated comeback movie Real. The actor takes the lead role of an ambitious and ruthless fixer with dissociative identity disorder in the action crime thriller, which is directed by first-time helmer Love Lee and written by Lee Jung Sub, the screenwriter of Romantic Island and The Perfect Couple. Revolving around the battle of wits between an aggressive troubleshooter and his rivals, the star-studded film also co-stars Sung Dong Il (Proof of Innocence) as a mafia boss, Lee Sung Min (Sori: Voice from the Heart) as a psychiatrist, former f(x) member Sulli (Fashion King) as a rehabilitation therapist, Jo Woo Jin (The Fortress) as a lawyer, Lee Kyung Young (The Great Actor) as a detective-turned-writer, and rising star Han Ji Eun (Miss Granny) as an up-and-coming actress. Suzy, IU, Dasom, Ahn So Hee, Park Seo Joon, Son Hyun Ju, Nine Muses' Kyung Ri and her ex-bandmate Min Ha make special appearances.

Suffering from dissociative identity disorder, nefarious fixer Jang Tae Young (Kim Soo Hyun) seeks help from psychiatrist Dr. Choi Jin Ki (Lee Sung Min). After recovering from his mental illness, he starts building his casino empire. However, notorious drug lord Jo Won Geun (Sung Dong Il) seizes the shares of his gambling business. Meanwhile, a masked reporter offers to invest in the casino and proposes a plan to eliminate Jo Won Geun's crime ring. However, Tae Young starts to get suspicious of his mysterious investor, who looks uncannily similar to him and seems to know everything about him.

Great Conspiracy and gang war surrounding the biggest casino in Asia, "Someone who is mimicking me has suddenly appeared". Mon nodd JANG Tae-young is about to open doors to 'Siesta', a flashy and luxurious new casino. But when CHO Won-geun, a mob boss of a rival gang, demands half of the stake of the casino, JANG is on the verge of losing control of it. In the midst of this potentially devastating situation, there is a sliver of hope as an unexpected investor comes along with a proposal JANG cannot refuse.
