The "Jiji" takes on the young'uns in Ryuzo and the Seven Henchmen, a new kind of gangster comedy from director Kitano Takeshi. The legendary Fuji Tatsuya – star of numerous gangster films in the 60s – is back in the spotlight as Ryuzo, a retired yakuza boss living out a peaceful (and incredibly boring) life at home with his son. One day, Ryuzo almost falls victim to a phone scam and vows to take revenge on the scammers. However, Ryuzo discovers that the members of his old gang have all become pensioners with little remnants of their glorious criminal pasts. With a bit of ingenuity and strong fighting spirit, Ryuzo and his men take on the young ruthless gang that tried to wrong him. Taking a light change of pace following his intense Outrage films, Kitano has created a laugh-out-loud comedy that reflects his own aging sensibilities and offers a clever twist on a familiar film genre.

[ストーリー]
７０歳の高橋龍三は、引退した元ヤクザ。“鬼の龍三”と畏れ慕われた時代はもはや過去のもの。現在は家族にも相手にされず、社会にも居場所がなく、息子の家に肩身の狭い思いで身を寄せながら、「義理も人情もありゃしねぇ」と世知辛い世の中を嘆いている。ある日、オレオレ詐欺に引っかかったことをきっかけに、元暴走族の京浜連合と因縁めいた関係になった龍三は、「若いヤツらに勝手な真似はさせられねぇ」と、昔の仲間に招集をかける。集まったのは、プルプルと震える手で拳銃を構えるジジイ、足下がおぼつかないジジイ、未だに特攻隊気分のジジイなど７人。どうせ先は長くないのだからと盛り上がった龍三たちは勢いで「一龍会」を結成し、京浜連合のやることをことごとく邪魔しまくる。当然、京浜連合のチンピラたちは、調子に乗り始めたジジイたちを疎ましく思うようになる。そして一龍会ｖｓ．京浜連合の対立は、龍三や子分の家族を巻き込んだ一大騒動へと発展する……！
