Originally serialized in Shonen Jump between 1985 and 1990, Saint Seiya has become a manga and anime legend with a legion of fans that grows by day. After a decade-long absence from the silver screen, Toei revived the film franchise in 2014's Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary to the delight of fans everywhere. A CGI film directed by Sato Keiichi and executive produced by series creator Kurumada Masami, the movie grossed ¥1 billion worldwide.

At sixteen years old, Kido Saori (Sasaki Ayaka) is a girl struggling with emerging powers she can't explain. Little does she know that she was rescued from the clutches of the Pope of Sanctuary as an infant by Sagittarius Aiolos (Morikawa Toshiyuki) – and that she's the reincarnation of the goddess Athena. She's in for a rude awakening as Saints aligned with the Pope launch a sudden attack on her. When she learns of her true destiny, she's determined to head to the Sanctuary to defeat the Pope. Thankfully, Pegasus Seiya (Ishikawa Kaito), Cygnus Hyoga (Ono Kensho), Dragon Shiryu (Akabane Kenji) and Andromeda Shun (Okamoto Nobuhiko) are there to help her in her quest.
