Jang Dong Gun takes an eye for an eye in the grueling revenge thriller Seven Years of Night. Based on the same-titled novel by renowned writer Jung Yoo Jung, Seven Years of Night is directed and co-written by award-winning filmmaker Choo Chang Min (Masquerade). Jang Dong Gun stars as a father who wants to avenge his daughter's death. Ryu Seung Ryong (Miracle in Cell No. 7) takes the role of a reservoir guard who accidentally hits the girl with his car. Seven Years of Night also includes Go Kyung Pyo (Reply 1988), Song Sae Byuk (A Girl At My Door) and child actress Lee Re (Hope) who plays the young victim.

Young girl Oh Se Ryung (Lee Re) runs away from home to escape her father's abuse. Unfortunately, she is accidentally hit by a car while running away. Shocked by the fact that he killed a girl, the driver Choi Hyun Soo (Ryu Seung Ryong) throws her body into a lake and pretends nothing happened. To avenge his daughter, Oh Young Je (Jang Dong Gun) carries out a seven-year-long revenge plan to inflict physical and mental abuse on Choi Hyun Soo and his son Seo Won (Go Kyung Pyo).
