Sad is the World, and Faith be with you Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Track 6 swept me off my feet the first time I heard it on the radio (I don't even know Chinese, being just another Joe Blow in Toronto) - it triumphed over me, and held me until I let it have its way with me - and when it was over it was like coming out of a religous service in which you had to prove your atheism. Though it's true that when I finally got the cd the other songs took a longer time to a-p-p-r-e-c-i-a-t-e. If I were Faith and I had a band as faithful as hers to back me I'd sing all day long, actually, all night long - as I consider these all to be nocturnal songs, they have a sad feeling of morning having not quite broken yet on the day of your mother's funeral. Why am I so drawn to this fearless and yet trembling voice, a voice frightened by its own grace when being downcast? Do you know that Leonard Cohen song "Joan of Arc"? Maybe Faith is Joan of Arc and the band is the wood, and fire that the two build is the music. And O God what fire!

Absolutely Fantastic Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Wasn't sure about this at first as it is less heavy that Faith's usual style, however once I had listened a few times, I realised just how great the album is. One of my favourite CDs ever. Track 1 is just unbelievable.

Very good album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I like Faith's album better than her previous two. Her singing skills as well as her music are more mature and refined. This is a album you can listen over and over again and you'll find that all the songs are growing on you, as opposed to her previous albums which were very explosive and heavy-rock but lack the feeling of enjoyment. I like track 8 "Surrender" most. Track 2,3,4,5,6 are also very good songs. Faith's voice is very unique. She knows what kind of music she wants and best suits her. I recommend this album to everyone strongly.

A little bit too plain Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
Faith's new album is a little bit too plain to me. The first 6 songs are great. Especially track 6, it's so brilliant. But the rest (track 7 - 10) made me bored. I was so excited to hear that Faith's singing English rock in this new album but it's not that. Some of the songs sounds like Taiwan's college campus songs (siao yuen min ge) back in the 80's to me. Still like her previous style better.

New challenge to new style of music Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Faith is always famous for her heavy and hard singing style with alternative or rock music. In her new album, we see a new Faith. She showed us that she can also sing really light and soft songs. Of course, at first listening, I'm not comfortable about her change. especially when she sings "Life is so beautiful" in track 10, I got this really strange and funny feeling. But after a few more listenings,I felt it's just "beautiful"...
