Perfection (Version B) (CD+DVD)2 people found this review helpful
November 30, 2011 Never fail to disappoint.
As soon as I saw this had become available for pre-order I instantly got in there and got myself a copy, which can sometimes be really risky, but in this case was a very good choice!
I did the same with Version A of this CD (it was my first Super Junior M release and I just couldn't wait), and I can easily say that both times I haven't regretted it for a second. :)
This version comes with a CD and DVD - the CD has more or less the same content on as version A, just with another few tracks added onto it, and the DVD has the two Music Videos of Perfection, some making of material and behind the scenes stuff. The CD folds out twice - once with the CD on one side, the DVD on the other side, and then the photobook is in the middle.
For a lot of CDs I tend to buy them mostly for the Photobooks inside - the bigger the photobook that comes with a CD the happier I am, and this one hits the spot nicely. Inside the photobook you get two foldouts, one has song lyrics on and the other is the generic advertisement leaflet you get with most Korean CDs. Inside the photobook you get pictures of each members in little segments dedicated to them, with their name and a little 'thanks to' part, with one time being a photoshoot styled posing and another being pictures of them just before filming. Then it moves onto a section of them actually filming the music video for Perfection, and the whole thing just looks really great and well laid out. There isn't really any wasted space (something a fair few SMEnt albums can be guilty of), and the paper is of a fairly glossy, high quality paper.
Overall I think this is a really great repackage album, the design is great and all of the songs are really nice too. A must have for all Super junior M fans. :)
SHINee 2nd Mini Album - RomeoNovember 30, 2011 Very nice Album!
This was one of those CDs that I had always wanted but never really gotten round to buying, though a little while ago I did and after receiving it, I felt a bit silly for putting it off for so long!
The casing on the CD itself is more like a small book than anything, it doesn't have a hard outer casing and the CD is held in at the back with two little flaps. That last part might sound a bit bad but don't worry! So long as you don't rip the CD out of the back with strong levels of force and you put it back carefully, you'll be fine. :)
The photoshoot for this mini album is really nice, there are a few pictures where Taemin and Key have blue contact lenses in - it looks really strange... but really nice at the same time! A lof of it seems to be pictures of them having fun and getting ready to pose for the shoot, rather than them actually posing. Whether or not that was intentional I don't know, but I think it looks nice. The photos all give off a happy and relaxing vibe - something that is quite tricky for CDs to do in my opinion.
I have to admit that the songs on this CD aren't really my favourite (the song list on 'Lucifer' holds that title), though they are very nice. 'Juliette' and 'Señorita' are two very upbeat tracks that really help get you in a good mood, while my favourite song on the CD 'Hit Me' is a very powerful half-ballad that never fails to bring up a wave of emotions. I love it!
As for who's picture I got on the back of my CD - I got Key. I'm very happy with it because I think his photo was one of the best in terms of the random member ones, so that worked out really well. :) I'd recommend buying this CD if you're a SHINee fan, it's lovely!
Super Junior Vol. 4 - Bonamana (Type B)November 30, 2011 Great CD
This has to be one of my favourite Super Junior CDs, not only for the songs included but also for what you get with the actual CD itself. :) As described in the product description, this CD comes with a random member photocard (I got Sungmin's!) which I always love about CDs haha, but the photobook is also really great.
The case itself is kind of a hard cover type thing, it isn't very glossy like a lot of CD covers but is of a very high quality. The size is pretty compact compared to other CDs, and is a little bit smaller in terms of height compared to Sorry Sorry Version C.
The Photobook inside is a bit of a contrast to that of the one in Bonamana Version A, as instead of it being a set up photoshoot, the members are much more relaxed and it shows the preparation before they take the promotional pictures, which is great because you get to see a more playful and less 'serious' side to Super Junior. There's also a section of photos that were taking while they were filming their Bonamana music video which look really great too.
The CD design is very nice, the paper is of a high quality and overall I think this CD is definitely worth the money you pay for it, so I would highly recommend it if you are considering buying. :)
Super Junior Vol. 5 - Mr. Simple (Type A)November 30, 2011 Give it a chance
I think like a lot of people I was originally pretty nervous when I first saw the promo pictures for this, then when I read that you'd get a random member cover that made me even more nervous because of the crazy styles and the image certain members have been given, but I took a chance and bought the cd and I can honestly say that I'm really glad I did. :)
As most people have pointed out, the CD case itself is huge! About the size of a vinyl cover, same thickness too. This is both good and bad haha! The bad thing is that unless you can slot it behind your other CDs, this thing will be a huge pain to arrange on a book/cd shelf, so if you do buy the CD I'd suggest finding a spot to put it while you're waiting for it to arrive!
The GOOD thing about the CD being so large is that the individual flashcards you get inside are also the size of the album case, which means very lovely large sized HQ photos of all the members. :) There's one for each Super Junior member, all of them are double sided and they're all of very good quality. I know a lot of people are confused about what you get inside each member's case so I'll just clear this up for you - the flashcards inside these CDs are the same for EVERY member's cover, so regardless of whether you get Ryeowook or Heechul, the contents on the CD and flashcards inside will be exactly the same.
I got Ryeowook's cover (my bias <3), I have the Taiwanese version on the way and a friend of mine got Siwon's cover, and I can easily say that it has become one of my favourite CDs in terms of content and the songs on the CD itself, so if you're undecided on whether to buy this or not - I highly recommend you do!

January 9, 2011 Very Nice
I received this item a couple of days ago, and was extremely excited to be able to finally own it!
The packaging itself is more like a large photobook than an actual CD case, with the CD being slotted in by two 'flaps' on the last page (the CD is covered by a final image that folds out for you to access it), which is a bit worrying in terms of how secure it'll be, but so long as you don't rip it out with force, it should be fine. (:
All of the pictures look fantastic, and the images themselves are printed onto a high quality, glossy paper that won't rip with the simple turn of a page. Lyrics/messages from the boys are printed towards the middle of the book, with various pictures of them sprawled over the pages.
The Photocard I got was Ryeowook (words can't describe how happy this made me <3), and has a message from him written on the back. I'm not sure what the cards of the other members look like, but they are definitely of a high quality. (:
The CD itself looks like an extract from one of their photoshoot pictures, and the effect on it looks insanely cool. Personally I would recommend buying this CD, as the service from YesAsia has been fantastic on both occasions that I've ordered from here with no complications, and I'll definitely be using their services again. (:

December 7, 2010 Amazing!
I was a bit nervous to buy this, since it was my first YesAsia purchase (and my first Super Junior CD buy!), but I'm really really glad I went through with it. (:
The CD itself is amazing, all of the songs on it are great, the design is just.. love, and the Photo book that comes with it is just breathtaking. <3
As far as the packaging goes, the CD case ISN'T made of plastic for those of you that are curious, though it is made of a high-quality thick card (The CD itself is held securely by a plastic 'base' inside of the CD cover, just like any other CD, and a booklet with the lyrics is firmly stuck to the other side - something which is also the case with pretty much any other CD you can find), which to be honest I actually prefer because it just makes the whole thing look great. The photos of the boys are amazing, and the whole thing is just awesome, I'm really pleased with it overall.
I don't own the other versions, but from other reviews that I've read, and going by what I've received I would strongly advise that you buy Version C, it's the best CD purchase I've ever made. (:
