YesAsia Editorial Description

Director Hiroyuki Nakano (Samurai Fiction, Red Shadow) changes gears for Stereo Future, an eclectic comedy that's as funny and entertaining as it is hard to describe. Keisuke (Masatoshi Nagase) is an aspiring actor who gets his big break in an obnoxious samurai film when the leading actress recommends him for the role. However, his enthusiasm for the job is tempered by the insane director and the film's overacting lead, played by the scenery-chewing Naoto Takenaka (Shall We Dance?). Meanwhile, his mute ex-girlfriend Eri (Akiko Monou) - who originally dumped Keisuke - catches the eye of a charming American botanist (Daniel Ezralow). Keisuke and Eri find new romantic possibilities while apart, but before too long the question arises: maybe they would be better off together again? Hiroyuki Nagano finds time for over-the-top action sequences (on the set of his movie-within-a-movie), an environmental message, and lots of off-the-wall weirdness, but Stereo Future ultimately finds its heart in that which makes the world go round: love.

Simply brilliant Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The movie goes so smoothly. The story line is thoughtful, and all actors espesially Aso Kumiko are really good. It is a movie not very exciting but makes me fall into.
